Just got back from Bali last week and we stayed at the Adi Dharma Hotel again which had been pre booked for my brother Gavin's 50th birthday celebrations....hotel was as always very welcoming and we had a fantastic time. My brother booked the restaurant for the night of his birthday and Agung and her staff put on a feast for us all to enjoy....thank you so much for welcoming us back and making us feel as if we were part of the Adi Dharma family. Dewi the front office manager was so very helpful with booking by email and sorting out the accommodation for our family and friends, Dewi is so lovely and I would definitely recommend staying here, the hotel is beautifully tucked away down a laneway away from the hustle and bustle and the grounds are amazing. Thanks again to all the staff we will definitely be back to stay.

Adi Dharma Hotel, we returned here after a successful stay last year, this large not new hotel is set in a quieter back street close to the border between Kuta and Legian. As I have said it is not new, not state of the art and not glamorous but it has something which brings people back again and again.

Friendliness, attention to detail and immediate responses to any concerns voiced is where it excels, it makes welcome all ages and there is a joy to be found in 3 or more generations just having good clean ‘Bali’ fun together going about during the day then joining back up in late afternoon for a swim and a chat, or evening again for a swim, chat and drink. We were there this time for a 50th birthday party in which our host had more than 40 people dining with him on his birthday, and his was a more than 3 generation party with everyone getting something from it.

The rooms are large and clean with attention to detail, WiFi is not brilliant but you can get it, food and drinks are reasonable and it is a comfortable happy place to stay without breaking anyone’s budget.

If I had one concern it would be with the music at the pool bar, to me the constant noise being produced by electronic music is a definite negative, they provided music non-stop from around 11 am to nearly 7pm and I can tell you that rap music for so long is not pleasant or welcome. Perhaps a consideration to older patrons would mean silence for some of the time, different music or more peaceful sounds. This is a concern I reflected last year and sadly there haven’t been any changes.

Room Tip: Rooms at the back of the hotel are quieter due to there distance from the pool and loud music.

Pros –
1. The Hotel is situated on a quiet street in a busy part of Kuta.
2. The room was large, clean and had a super-efficient air conditioner.
3. The hotel staff were always friendly and helpful.
4. The hotel is walking distance to the beach, restaurants, shop malls, etc

Cons
1. The hotel is large and was relatively busy during my stay. This resulted in the pool area always being a hub of activity (Loud music, loud patrons, etc). If you have room on the ground floor surrounding the pool, you will have no privacy. So it’s better to choose a room on the 3rd level facing the garden. Bear in mind, there are no elevators so you will have to walk up 2 flights of stairs to get to the 3rd level.
2. The property neighbouring Adi Dharma is home to several roosters. All of them crow simultaneously before sunrise.
3. The hotel is dated and could do with an upgrade.

Room Tip: Garden facing room on upper levels.

We stayed at the Adi Dharma for 12 nights in March with a group of friends who had stayed at this hotel previously.

The hotel were kind enough to give our whole group discount as we had members of our group who were returning guests.

The hotel also organised early check in for us as we arrived at 10am and late check out, as our flight was not until 11pm.

The staff were more than accommodating, friendly and extremely helpful.

Hotel facilities were fantastic for the price you pay to stay, food was also lovely, we were never concerned about the health aspect of food preperation and had no issues with the quality.

Situated away from the main streets of Kuta it was very quiet which was nice after being in busy kuta all day.

Bookings for tours can be done at the front desk and they also can exchange money at a good exchange rate and organise drivers.

We are planning a return visit later in the year and wouldn't hesitate to recommend the hotel to others.

My stay started in March 2014.
My brother and I arrived at Adi Dharma Hotel to friendly and helpful staff.
Unfortunately our stay turned and my brother was rushed to hospital on the first night with suspected heart problems.
We cannot express how much the staff helped us through this tough time. They provided free breakfast on his return and also drove me to the hospital everyday. The hotel doctor met us at the hospital and paid for the taxi and security were quick to action. Management even brought flowers on a visit to see how my brother was.
They certainly provided the support that i needed being alone and dealing with this emergency.
The waitstaff were awesome and nothing was to hard for them.
The massages were excellent as well, the rooms were clean and very comfortable. It is in the heart of Kuta but once inside you don't here any noise , its
like a little oasis with that lovely pool and swim up bar.
I would recommend Adi Dharma hotel to all and believe your stay will be enjoyable.

Thank you to all staff and management from
Michael and Joanne

Room Tip: Pool side rooms are very relaxing
