“Good but not great...”

Hotelier myself as well currently working in Bali, I wanted since I arrived on the island of the Gods to visit this property.
Globally it is well maintained, gardens are in good conditions, beautiful flowers as well decorations.
Employees in the lobby are polite, a bit with a shy smile but it is fine.
Went to the gift shop or La Boutique, very friendly team as well to their deli shop located at the opposite. Great chocolates, jams (especially raspberry and strawberry) as well cookies.
As we love so much their jams and cookies, I went back yesterday and was a bit uncomfortable in their deli shop. Around 3pm, I found few of their key managers there (french speaking) in a not very well position, arms behind the neck and completely half lay on the chair. Sorry but it does not give a good impression at all.
I was ordering few things and none of these managers came to help the employee who was quite uncomfortable to do the packing of the chocolate. Jams were sold without the hotel label...
No greetings at all, no smile, not a simple eye contact from these gentlemen to the unique customer I was at this time. Too busy to discuss between them in french...
Too bad...
In conclusion, most of the staff is doing his best but cannot say the same at all about the Management. Be careful it is when you think you are the best you fall...

The best hotel with the private beach that i've ever stayed, feel like i owned that place :P ..
Great welcoming lobby with the nice staff . Love our room in the King suites room with every little details , great pools , and nice atmosphere . Spent 2 nights there is wasnt enough ..

Room Tip: June-August are the best time to go there , nice weather ..

My husband and I stayed here in August 2012. This was one of our most memorable vacations ever! The breakfast buffet was superb, everything was delicious and fresh. The sunbeds on the beach were comfy, food was delicious on the beach and service was 5 stars! Our room was beautiful and spacious. The morning Yoga classes were wonderful but the Tai Chi class was a bit weird (we had to do some awkward breathing sounds...and I just wanted to burst out laughing but didn't want to offend the Instructor!). Overall, this was one of our favorite vacations and we keep talking about it to this day! We can't wait to return and experience this again. Thanks St Regis Bali!

I stayed here during my summer excursions around SE Asia and was so impressed by this resort. The VIP service at the airport that was arranged through the hotel was impeccable. I was met at the arrival gate by a representative that assisted me through customs. I was in and out of customs with my luggage in 20 minutes. The staff never stopped smiling and you couldnt help but smile too (I mean this is paradise defined how could you not?). The Ocean Front Villa was outrageously private with every amenity including access to a private beach. I felt at home and comfortable. The bed was to die for and made it hard to get up in the morning. I think this one of those rare resorts where you dont feel like a number but more like a member of the staffs family. They literally would do anything for me. I highly recommend staying here if money is no issue. I cant wait to return some day.

Room Tip: Villas are always the best.

We stayed here for one night and we wished we could've stayed longer.
This is the best hotel we have stayed at. The service was wonderful and the rooms were first class.The breakfast was out of this world, never known anything like it. The choices of oysters,lobster,wagu steak,foie gras etc all exquisitely done to a 5 star plus standard.I was spoilt for choice and had to try everything.
Would love to come again.

My Family and I spent 3 nights at this resort. The resort was wonderful and the amount of care and attention was great. Really recommend it. However, meals were pricey and average, especially the buffet dinner, the steak and lamb I ordered that were part of my meal were sub par, the meat was rough and dry,
I expected a little better food from a US 75 Dollar Buffet.

Otherwise, a great trip nonetheless.

However, I am disappointed to learn about some minor points that you mentioned such as, pricy and average buffet dinner with poor quality of meals offered. In this regards, we do really apologize that our service was not up to The St. Regis standards.

Please rest assures as we strive to continually exceed the expectations of our guests, which we apparently did not achieve with you during your visit with us.

We stayed at St Regis for 8 nights and it was sensational! This would have to be one of the best hotels we have ever stayed in. The attention to detail, facilities and service was 6 stars.
The breakfast was out of this world, I was 6 months pregnant at the time and I was in heaven. I wasn't sure what to order or where to start.
The pool is fantastic for kids and overall I can't fault a thing, we had a fantastic time.
