This is the third time we have eaten at Kayuputi and what a wonderful gastronomic experience it is. We visited on the 6th of September and were celebrating our first wedding anniversary. The staff were aware it was a very special occasion for us and we could not have been looked after better. From the time we walked through the door they were attentive and did everything possible to make us feel welcome and special. We brought along a very special bottle of Champagne to celebrate and they served it perfectly. We were given a beautiful table outside on a perfect night to sit outside. We have to say the Sushimi we had for entree was wonderful and the portions huge and beautifully presented. For mains my husband had the special hot seafood selection and I had the venison. Both lovely dishes perfectly served. And for dessert we were treated to a surprise special "Happy Anniversary" cake made especially for us. It was delightful and so generous that we couldn't eat it all. So they dutifully packed the remainder in a beautiful presentation carry box for us and we very much enjoyed it again the next day. What more could you ask for. After the excellent birthday dinner we enjoyed in June this year, we would recommend Kayuputi to anyone for that very special experience.

We live in London and eat out most evenings - over the past years we have worked our way through most of the city's most notable eateries. Accordingly we had moderated our expectations of Kayuputi. We shouldn't have! Excellent service from start to finish (a special mention to Erma Wiratha - a young man with a big future), a consistently excellent standard of cooking, great (but expensive) wines and an awesome setting. Ask for a water table on the terrace. If you are in that neck of the woods you'd be mad to miss out.

Early September was our wedding anniversary, and instead of celebrating by having another degustation lunch or dinner, my wife and I went for Kayuputi’s notorious champagne brunch. And what a brunch!

The cocktails were excellent (no skimping on the alcohol here, unlike what some reviewers said). The ocean view we had from our table was gorgeous (they were kind enough to put us in a corner spot). The food was heavenly (our favorites include the foie gras—so easy to go wrong, here pan seared to perfection with quality sauce to match—and the lobster—with meat as sweet as honey). The wine selection was great (hats off to the sommelier, Harald, and his choice of pairings—they could do with a better selection of reds, but overall it was still impressive). The service was friendly yet efficient (not once did Made the maître d’ and his team made us feel unwelcome—which is easy to conjure, with a premise and set up such as this).

And if you’re wondering why on earth would a brunch take up four hours of your time, just remember: it’s all about pacing yourself. (Although I must admit that, by the time we were finishing our dessert of soufflé and Valrhona chocolates, I could hardly walk! We took almost an hour of overtime, sitting outside, just sipping coffee and water while enjoying the view and letting the alcohol go down to tolerable levels, haha.)

Make no mistake: a cheap meal this is not (especially if you also opt for the beverage package), but it definitely makes for a great experience for your palate as well as your soul. The only downside? We’re still baffled on how we could top this off for our next year’s anniversary.

What a night to first of all look forward to after hearing so many wonderful reviews of Kayuputi and then to walk into the beautiful setting which my husband insisted we approach from the beach-side just before sunset. Perfect start to an amazing evening of the most exquisite and scrumptious degustation menu - all expertly and passionately matched with wines personally chosen by Kayuputi's renowned sommelier, Harald. I recommend you make his acquaintance when you are there.

We dined indoors which had just the right ambience for our indulgent evening, though the outdoor romantic settings looked very tempting for our next visit and surely there will be one.

All the positive reviews of this restaurant are true! The selection and quality of the food of the Sunday brunch is out of this world. Our favourites are the caviar, seafood linguini, pan seared foe gras, white fish sashimi, tuna sashimi, mango yoghurt and the wagyu beef. We must have tried most of the desserts and they are all excellent. The souffle is soooo good. This buffet is considered cheap considering the food and selection that they offer. The service is excelllent and all of them are genuinely offering all the patrons to try all their selections because they are proud of all their food creations. You will not regret the experience. The views from the restaurant is so beautiful with the deepest blue beach and whitest sand in Bali. Please try to pace yourself and refrain from trying all the pass around as there are so many of them to prevent yourself from getting too full.

Will definitely come back when we visit Bali soon!
