We had the most relaxing, wonderful holiday. Our room was fantastic, so very clean and the butler service was an added bonus. All staff were helpful, friendly and customer service was overall excellent. We would particularly like to say a huge, huge, huge thank you to the staff in cornerstone who were always smiling and had excellent customer service, above and beyond. Banybiru was also excellent and staff so friendly special thanks to the chefs the dinner buffet was brilliant. Pool side staff, again friendly, professional and helpful. Everything always clean and a super standard. One small gripe, we found it was hard to find anyone to serve us each night in the kulkul bar, one night we waited 25 minutes and in the end went to the bar to order. This seemed to happen most nights!
Super location for a safe, great, relaxing family holiday. We couldn't have had a better holiday and would definitely recommend.

I had left Laguna last on my recent trip to Bali, and so thankful I did - it was amazing!
The scenery is just beautiful making it so relaxing. With choices to swim in the lagoon, pool or ocean or just relax by any was just lovely.

Having a butler at the touch of a button, is something I am not used to.
The breakfast at Banyubiru was outstanding - the choices was incredible with something for everyone. And the chocolate fountain was very tempting!

Would highly recommend this resort to anyone, you will not be disappointed

highlight and lowlight in point form as usual:
good things:
1) Nice resort environment, garden and design
2) spacious room
3) friendly and attentive staff
4) wonderful beach - it is really amazing and surprising how nice it is
5) really inexpensive compare to other 5 star resort in Bali
bad things (not too much honestly)
1) too many flies and squirrels (1st time I hate squirrels)
2) restaurant inside the resort are bit expensive

Room Tip: 1) higher floor is always a better options (top is 4th, so 3rd or 4th is fine), don't pick the ground

We stayed at the Laguna for our last 3 nights in Bali. Given that we had just stayed at beautiful resorts in Seminyak and Ubud (and frequently stay at 4 and 5 star hotels/resorts) we did not know how the Laguna would compare. We were pleasantly surprised to find that not only is the Laguna a fantastic resort, it is the best of all 3 places we stayed in Bali.

We were immediately impressed with the entrance and reception area which were beautifully decorated, clean and comfortable. We were greeted with a refreshing welcome drink and a warm welcome from the staff. This place definitely had a "Wow" factor right from the beginning.

We reserved a standard room, which we were told would be on the 2nd floor. We were offered to upgrade for an additional $50USD per night. When shown the poolside room with a private patio, we immediately upgraded and were so glad we did. Our room was #141 and it has its own private patio with lounge chairs and its own private access to the pool. Easy to jump in the pool to cool off and then go right back to the pool chairs on our patio. This room was also very close to the Sapphire Bar and the hot tub. Great location! The room itself was spacious and nicely decorated.

The pool grounds were well kept and the beach very clean as well. The staff members were very pleasant and accommodating. Whether it be a need for an iron, aspirin or room service, we received everything in an extremely prompt manner.

As far as the food is concerned, we enjoyed the buffets at both restaurants as well as the meals through room service. There are several bars but we enjoyed the great bar with a beach view, great music and happy hour!

The resort offers free car service to the St. Regis (its sister hotel) which we took advantage of and had a fantastic meal at Dulang which has an Indonesian tasting menu.

All in all we had a terrific experience at the Laguna and would definitely recommend this resort. The reason we did not give a 5 (we wish there was a 4.5) is because we feel a 5 means absolutely 100% perfect with no complaints or suggestions. We do have a few suggestions, although nothing we experienced would deter us from recommending this resort or staying here again. The suggestions are: (1) As a Starwood Preferred Guest, we are supposed to receive 15% off of meals - this seemed to be confusing to the staff and it seems the staff should ask us if we are a Starwood member rather than have to tell them at every meal, (2) the offer to upgrade our room for $50USD/night was well worth it, however when we checked out we found it was not only $50 but also a 21% tax and service charge- we would have like this to have been explained to us, (3) the room had a slightly moldy/mildewy smell to it. While we understand this is a tropical climate, and when we called they brought an air freshener immediately, we feel air freshener should be standard in the rooms and (4) we were brought a printout of our bill the evening before we departed and noticed that there was a charge for a donation to UNICEF, which we did not make. When we asked about this, they said they automatically charge that amount, then explain it at check out and will remove it if requested. Charging us for something we did not authorize and which nobody asked us about or explained to us is not okay with us. Also, this charge could have gone unnoticed had we not reviewed the bill in detail and asked about it.

Room Tip: Request a room with private lounge chairs and access to the pool. Our room (141) was amazing and made our stay memorable

With out a doubt it is our favourite property in Bali. The gastronomic offer is amazing. I would to mention Yansu from Arwana who ensured that every meal was unforgettable. The rooms are well amended and spacious. For breakfast both of the options are great, the food is very fresh and the staff member are great and friendly.
