“More Than Perfect”
Reviewed 5 January 2014

Never been more satisfied by a hotel, so far it is one of the best I have been to.
From the beginning until the end the service could not be better.
From the moment you step out of the car you feel special by the staff welcoming you, you are directed to the bar for a welcome cocktail, The General Manager joins you to welcome you and talk which is great.
After the cocktail they show you your room where you can already find your luggage, you make a tour of the room while the valet shows you all the facilities of the rooms and how to us anything. To finish the small tour you finish the check-in in the room by signing the paperwork.
The room is full of little attentions, the thing which I was the most impressed with was the welcome note from the General Manager, it was all written by hand and this is something that you don't see often is hotel nowadays, This shows how special you are for them.
We stayed from the 2nd to the 6th of January and everything has been perfect, the breakfast is delicious, my advice is to try the mango juice they have, I loved it.
A detail that can annoy some guest would be the beach which is not right in front of the hotel, this detail is completely forgotten when you see the service they put behind. You take a car from the hotel and drive for 5 minutes to the beach. A large area of the beach only for the Amanusa hotel where you have a maximum of 14 chairs, two by two with behind a gazebo to relax in the shadow. Service was more than perfect, you have small menu (with excellent pizza), boardgames and beverages, around 3-4 pm you have a happy hour for ice cream that are brought to you.
The hotel has the main restaurant where you take breakfast and an other one overlooking the beautiful pool a more gastronomic restaurant. The food is great and once more the service too. I took the risotto of the day which was a red wine and parmesan risotto, it they have it I highly recommend it, it was perfectly cooked, not too liquid nor creamy.
The ultimate service I was not expecting was someone at the airport that is here waiting for you and helping you through check in, security and customs, To this I say bravo!
I can be sure of one thing it is that if I am going back in a hotel in Nusa Dua, I will come back to the Amanusa. The service is personalized and makes you feel very special

We stayed a total of 3 nights on arrival and departure for Indonesia... The staff was amazing so caring and genuine. The staff went above an beyond the call of duty. We arrive to our suite decorated since it was our honeymoon. The pool was beautiful we also had a our own private pool. The GM is so friendly and meet us each time we stayed. The driver took us to the pharmacy and helped translate it was such a help since I had caught a cold. Perfect start to an amazing trip. We had rooms with pools both times well worth it. It was also nice to have TV I know this is always a personal preference.

We stayed 7 nights at Amanusa and it was an amazing experience! The beach is magnificent and the service is always spot on. The food was great every night. If I had to find a negative thing to say which is hard I would say that the rooms are very nice but not as modern as I would have expected and that unfortunelty the golf was closed. Overall a superb hotel

The resorts has been 21 years old however it is very well maintained. Very clean, very friendly staff, very nice view, great place to stay. We can really feel the Bali tradition surround. September 2013 was my second visit, first in 1992.

Room Tip: Take the villa with private swimming pool to swim day n night.

We stayed here for 9 nights. It was really hard for us to leave. They did look after us so well as it was the most memorable vacation for us. We had our meal almost every day in the resort because the food is excellent and too good. We traveled around the world so we knew the chef has done an amazing job at Amanusa. She is an Australian Vietnamese. The first time we have known the lady chef. He staffs are friendly. Overall, food is the most memorable of our vacation. We will be back. It is hard to find a good Italian food in South East Asia, Amanusa can deliver the great Italian. They do have a great terrace restaurant with Thai, Indonesian and Vietnamese.. They all are spectacular. Thanks for a good time and taking care of us.

A very nice Aman, with a beautiful architecture nestled in the tropical forest. As usual, delightful privacy in hyper-comfortable rooms designed by symmetry obsessed architects. Service is top notch of course. Te only negative, as often with Aman, is the food. Not bad, but no refinement whatsoever. Thats a bit of a problem given the prices, and the fact that you are by and large hostage to the place, barring the occasional excursion out into the real world.
