“Gorgeous Hotel!!!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 12 May 2014

We stayed here in April, Hotel it self is stunning we had a room with plunge pool out to the main pools, the room was spacious and very luxurious, Hotel grounds are well kept and manicured pools are gorgeous lots of seating area. Restaurants are wonderful lots variety, including buffet breakfast staff are very attentive.
Only faults, check in took 40minutes , happy hour at pool bar there’s no variety only 6 drinks to pick from on the menu and cannot order separate drinks , not to mention very over priced, even for a Bintang draught $9.00 AUD the entire menu is OVER PRICED. If they were to lower their prices and broaden up their menu for happy hour they would find that more people would take up the offer.
Was unable to extend stay to late checkout was willing to pay as our flight did not leave till 1am, asked on arrival, to which we were assured that he would get back to us in the morning, still no reply till when we were about to check out, asked again to which we were offered to stay at a cost which we agreed on , then checking with manager stated that we couldn’t have the room , nor any other not very good service.
Over-all we enjoyed our stay, tip free bus service every morning at 8:30am to Water bomb park from reception don’t need to book through hotel bus arrives every day.

We stayed here for 3 nights in April 2014. The resort is in a "soft-open" until August, which means that the staff are still in training and not all intended facilities are open. Having said that, this is a stunning resort. We used everything at the resort, club milleseme, the gym, both restaurants, breakfasts, room service, day spa, all pools and bars and the went swimming at the private beach. We stayed in an ocean view room on the top floor.
Overall, this is a stunning new resort, with fantastic facilities, including a great private beach and spectacular pools. You will however need to be prepared for a few issues with service. Staff are (hopefully) still in training and you won't receive the standard of service that we have come to expect from this brand in other countries.
If you experience any issues with any aspect of service, make sure you make it known to management. Management make every effort to overcome any issues and ensure the rest of your stay is pleasurable.
The day spa and the facilities are definitely the highlights of this resort. Day spa is expensive by Bali standards (almost US or Australian prices), but the service and facilities make the bill at the end easier to swallow.
Rooms are large, and well appointed, with a 50" tv, blue ray player and bose sound system. TV reception was poor, but the channel choice was great. Views of the pools from the top floor are great, the room has the Sofitel coconut aroma, and the air-conditioning worked perfectly. The in-room safe is too small to fit an SLR camera or a laptop.
Club Milleseme is worth the upgrade (we paid about $50US per day), but is small and can get very busy when cocktails and canapés are served. It includes a beautiful private indoor/outdoor pool, which we enjoyed alone numerous times, and the some of the best trained staff in the resort. Check-in is not (currently) available at the Club Milleseme, but in-room check-out is an excellent and innovative offering.
Breakfast was included in our room rate. The breakfast concept is great, with a series of bars offering different food and beverage choices. It can become very busy, and there seems to be a lack of seating if you arrive between 8.30 and 9.30. Staff frequently get you confused with other guests and your food and coffees go missing. Go early.
Bar staff don't know how to make any cocktail that is not on the menu (e.g. they don't know what a martini even is).
Room service was excellent, quality of the food, presentation, and price, although high by Bali standards, is reasonable compared to most western hotels around the world.
The private, groomed beach is perfect for spending a lazy few hours.
The gym is well equipped, but the staff are a little enthusiastic with their assistance.
CCC serves great food and the fire show was entertaining.
Would we stay here again when we are next in Nusa Dua? Maybe.

Room Tip: Rooms with a view of the pools are better. Rooms with direct access into the pool looked good, but h...

We booked the sofitel for a few nights prior to checking into our villa.
I didn't expect the hotel to be so amazing. It was gorgeous!
The lobby is stunning and the rooms are fabulous. The staff told us it was built for APEC.
The pool areas are also stunning.
I really wished we stayed longer and if I was going to bali I would ensure I stayed here.

Only weird thing was. We booked a room with our own plunge pool and the staff that worked in the gardens liked to watch us swim... Which we found really uncomfortable.

The breakfast area is wonderful and the lounge access is absolutely worth it!
This is a great hotel! Highly reccomended!
