I wasn't planning to visit Gitgit waterfalls when I was in Bali. It was pretty much a last minute decision when my travel buddy and I decided to spend the night at Lovina beach and so, on our journey to the North of Bali, Gitgit waterfalls was one of the attraction.
Of course, it's quite a journey if you're driving from Ubud to Singaraja but there's just so much to see in Bali. I tried my best not to sleep in the journey. Wanted to make every waking moment count.
When we were finally at the entrance, we paid the entrance fee and the guide took us along the walk to the falls. We walked right to the bottom where we were able to feel the strong mist and winds from the rushing waters. It was an amazing feeling.
