Wonderful villa, wonderful staff.............so helpful and attentive.
They seemed to be constantly cleaning and tidying around the complex.

Breakfast prepared in the villa every morning. Could do with more coffee and 'unsweetened' juice though!

Only a short walk into Sanur.

The only issue was that it rained quite a lot and the grass pathways became flooded.

I would fully recommend this place to all!

Room Tip: I think that all villas were lovely!

We rented a 3-bedroom, 2 bath Serenity Villa with 4 beds. Villa was very clean and spacious. Living room, outside dining table, kitchen, private pool. There was air conditioning in each room. It even had two outside showers (and 2 inside showers as well as a bathtub). There are a number of private villas in this complex but we didn't see many of the other guests.
The staff were amazing! Very friendly and helpful. They prepare breakfast for you daily (Indonesian breakfast inlcuded fried rice + egg, coffee/tea, fruit while Continental breakfast included eggs which are prepared in your kitchen with toast, pastry, fruit and coffee/tea) - just tell them which one you'd like (you can mix and match between the guests). Cookies/treats were left on our pillows daily.
It's located in Sanur (less crowded and hectic than Seminyak or Kuta but still only a 20 min cab from Seminyak for the nightlife). The beach is better in Sanur - light sand, no waves, less people and prettier than Kuta/Seminyak beaches. The villa is in a neighborhood - about a 10 min walk to the main road in Sanur with it's many restaurants and shops and the beach.
The villa arranged our pickup to/from the airport (there was a driver waiting for us with my name on a sign).
Breakfast, beach towels, airport transit, tips were all included in the price.
The only slight negative was that a couple of the twin beds were a bit firm.
The owner (Fiona) was really helfpul and friendly - just emailed her our request and had to send credit card info/passport info via email but was smooth.
We were a bit worried about the weather (weather.com said thunderstorms everyday) but we were there for a week in early December and saw only a few rainstorms, lots of clouds, and plenty of hot Bali sun!
I would definitely stay here again and recommend the Zen Villas to friends!

Wow what an enjoyable stay we had at the Zen Villas. This was our first trip to Bali for our family (wife, myself and 2 teenage girls). To be honest when we landed, got through customs, got ripped off by the porters (keep hold of your baggage), faced 50-100 drivers waiting to take people to there accomadation and the drive past thousands of scooters zip-zagging through the traffic, I was a little concearned about where I had brought my family. Then we reached our destination through these little alley ways and wow, we were completly blown away by how nice the villa was. We stayed at the very end villa (Lovina) it had a massive pool which felt so smooth on your skin and the water temperature was perfect. The reception staff of Suri and Aldi was fantastic. They were such a pleasure to deal with. Nothing was an effort for them, and would always greet you with a smile and asked how the day was (which they organise for you).
I have to say that it wasn't just the reception but all the staff were amazing, exspecially cooking breakfast every morning for you in the villa (I loved the rice dish). It was a little disappointing having to leave them at the end of our holiday. The villa had 2 huge rooms, one with an ensuite inside and the other room had it outside, which was nice showering and looking at the stars (completely private). The kitchen was very large and lounge room had doors that opened the whole wall up to walk straight into the pool.
Things we did in Bali that I would strongly recommend;
1) Stay at the Zen Villas
2) A bike ride (3hrs downhill) which was amazing (make sure you have a camera)
3) Shopping in Kuta (you get the hang of bartering pretty quick)
4) Elephant ride
5) Eat at the Italian restaraunt (Zen reception have disscount) was amazing
6) Visit Ulawatu Temple (watch out for the monkeys) on sunset
7) Get a massage in your villa (around $15Aus for an hour)
8) Most importantly drinking Bitang in the pool (many evenings spent here)

Hope you enjoy yourself and enjoy the Bali way of life, where time seems to stop.

We stayed in a one bedroom villa with a plunge pool for four nights. The villa and surrounding garden are beautiful and so clean. The staff are all very helpful, knowledgeable and a pleasure to deal with. The location is slightly further back from the main road but that's a good thing! Its a nice walk and you get a chance to see how the locals live. The walk is only 5 or so minutes and we never felt worried about it, even when returning late at night. Breakfast is cooked and served in the villa every morning. In hindsight we would have chosen not to have breakfast at the villa everyday - only so we can try out more of the restaurants near by. If we were to travel to Sanur again, we would definitely stay at the Zen Villas.

My Family and I travel to bali every year and this was the first time we have stayed at the Zen Villas for 8 nights in a two bedroom pool villa, and we will definately be coming back next year. The villa itself was spacious, well equipped, private with beautiful landscaped gardens. The full size pool was fantastic. The staff were very professional, friendly and helpful at all times and nothing was ever to much trouble for all of them especially Adi, Sri and Trish. The beach was a very easy 10 min walk and numerous retaurants / spas only 5 minutes away which made for a nice walk through the local streets. I wouldnt hesitate to recommend the Zen villas to all friends and family
