We stayed here for a week over New Year. The Villas are lovely, they are so spacious. We had a 3 bedroom villa with a lovely pool. The children (age 4 & 2) loved the pool, it was a great temperature. The villa is so relaxing, there is an outdoor dinning table over looking the pool which was lovely. We stayed in Villa F. The only negative I would have to say (which isn't really a negative) is that we didnt have a door to the entrance to the garden of our villa _ other ones did. This would be a concern if you were worried about children wandering off but then you couldn't leave them unattended in the garden anyhow due to the pool.

The kitchen was great. It was fantastic to have a water chiller in the kitchen - no more dragging water bottles back from the supermarket. The drinks and snacks on arrival in the fridge were great after a flight.

The staff couldn't do enough for you. I have never seen so many staff to come and clean your villa each day. The people who came and cooked the breakfast in the morning were lovely. If you prefer they can just leave it for you to do which we did on a couple of lazy mornings, The security staff were great at phoning us taxis. The reception staff were so quick to answe the phone and arrange new water for the chiller etc.

The villas are about a 10 min walk through lanes to Sanur. This isn't far. We walked it some time and then got a taxi other times. The taxis are so cheap, about £1 each journey. The main supermarket is about a 10 minute walk.

The restuarants are great in Sanur. Ratatouille, CarMing, Fortune Cookie, The Village etc. We also got take-away twice to the villa which was very relaxing after a busy day.

Our Driver collected us from the Aiport in a large car. He was called Tejay and he was great. We booked him during our stay for 2 excursions which were fabulous.

Overall I would recommend staying at the villas are they are very spacious and lovely. The staff were so helpful from my emails before arriving and during our stay. I had looked at hotels to say in but the villa was fantastic and it was great having so much space. The children just loved it and the staff were really friendly to them.

I disagree with the previous post - where we staying in the same place?

We stayed at the Zen Villas in Sanur. At the website it looks like it is situated real close to the beach but it is not. Even the cabdriver couldn't find the entrance to the Zen Villas (through real small and bad roads). The houses are pretty OK but there were a lot of musquitos and there was no attention for the details that makes a stay pleasant. There's also no extra service like a restaurant or a cosy place to sit together with other families (the villas are all on their own). The reception didn't even want to post our postcards ;-(
Now we understand why we had to pay in advance.

We love hearing what our guests think of us, and we discuss long and hard any constructive criticism we receive in order to raise the bar for guest services. The map and location information on our website is completely accurate. We have gone to great lengths to ensure we do not misrepresent our property, our facilities, or our location to avoid guest disappointment caused by artificial expectations - walking distances to attractions (shops/beach), and on-site facilities included.

Indonesia is a third world country, and part of its charm are the rabbit-warren-like network of lanes and streets which are often unpaved or, at best, filled with potholes. Bali taxi drivers often get lost! A quick phone call to our office (or our Manager’s 24 hours number as supplied in our pre-arrival information) may have avoided this situation.

Mosquitoes are part of tropical living. Weekly professional spraying plus personal repellant and room spray is provided in each of our villas to combat this. Helpful hints on avoiding bites is also provided in our In-Villa Directory.

PS The postcards were happily posted by a member of our front office team the following day (which was his day off!).

This was a nive villa with pool and garden, large enough and value for money. Not far from main road and a nice walk. It had some nice touches like the care pack on arrival including tea, coffee, cans of soft drink and snacks ... this was really nice for kids. They will do your shopping as well. Management was very friendly and caring. ONly complaint was night staff were'nt able to help us with restaurant delivery numbers which seemed a bit odd.

Already wrote a review that didn't 'air' so will keep this brief.
Beautiful villas - AMAZING outdoor bathroom in Villa H (Tranquility), you couldn't ask for anymore. Two tv's with dvd players, lovely beds, clean water on tap, 3 toilets, 3 air con's, lovely outdoor dining area.
Breakfast was simple, large plate of watermelon, honeydew, grapes - a pastry & toast, juice - a nice change to full on restaurant breakfasts every morning.
Pool slightly warm but even the beach was sligthly warm so can't complain there.
For those who love to stay on the beach, this is not the place for you, 8 minute walk to main road, then another 15 to beach, or main area. A taxi only cost 10k ($1.15) to Cafe Bonsai which is a great drop off point for the beach.

Although you need a taxi to go anywhere outside your villa, it was a great week in a very nice and quiet environment. The few difficulties that occured were dealt with correctly by the management and staf. The website didn't make any false promises.

I have stayed in various places in Bali and this was a fantastic location. The staff were really helpful with good contacts and knowledge. The villas are very comfortable and tastefully decorated with each villa having its own garden and pool. It is situated in a labarynth of tiny streets which I navigated on a cycle and was minutes from shopping, restaurants and the beach strip. Senur was a really relaxing destination and not far from Semanyak for a more lively nightlife, restaurants, bars, surf beaches and great shopping. Senur is close to Ubud, a must if you want to get sculpture, silver, paintings and see more of the island. Teja was an outstanding driver 08123958208, go to Jalan Raya St for original art and the Aussie Garden for all of the well priced sculpture.
