Had Pizza here twice during our stay. First time was for takeaway back to our villa, and the second time was for lunch. We enjoyed the Pizza and the service. If you want Pizza, this is a great option!

An impressive array of excellent authentic Italian food in Sanur, definitely recommend. We had to wait about 15 minutes for a table, totally worth it.

We had pizzas, a gorgeous eggplant pasta dish with a tomato/bocconcini/basil salad. All fantastic, as was the Bloody Mary I had.

Way too full to even look at the desert menu - although earlier in the day we stopped to enjoy the gelati out the front - about 20 flavors to choose from, not the best gelati I've had but far from the worst.

Was initially excited to come here for mothers day as we just arrived in Bali today, but unfortunately was left with an experience with little desire to ever return.

Firstly, after waiting approximately 15 minutes for a table (which by the way we were totally fine with, just got a drink at the bar) we were taken to our table. After about 30 minutes sitting at the table we realised that no one was going to to take our order unless we asked, so we did, and our order was taken.

Entree: Arancini was bland and lackluster, no flavour, so we did not bother to finish the dish.

Main Course: We ordered the Tortellini Prosciutto e Funghi and Penne cu lla Crema e Gamberetti (we substituted the penne for fettuccine). The tortellini was tasty, however the dish was cold, or lukewarm at best. Disappointing to say the least.

The Penne cu lla Crema e Gamberetti was another dismal experience. I have ordered this dish several times in other restaurants and this time was presented a plate full of pasta, and two prawns.. yes just two prawns (that were extremely overcooked), oh and a prawn head which isn't edible. This dish was also lukewarm at best.

If I have to say something positive about the overall experience, is that their gelato is quite tasty and definitely worth a try.

Dear Helen,
thank you for feedback on your experience at Massimo.
We value every review and appreciate that you have taken the time to highlights some points of improvement.
Waiting 15 minutes at bar and enjoy a drink while waiting to be sitting in a busy restaurant is very respectful and we put lots of effort to satisfy guests.
Your order came to kitchen at 9.20pm with two portion of "arancini" (12 arancini balls) and you left in the plate few balls ...my staff ask if was everything fine and you answer portion is too big.
Every meal at Massimo is freshly cooked by time of order and Tortellini Prosciutto e Funghi is a very popular dish at our establishment.
Regarding Penne (fettuccine) with "Crema cu lli Gamberetti" (already three months not in menu as we change our menu regularly) ...we satisfy your order and remember very well your fettuccine served with chopped prawn in tomato cream sauce ...this is a pasta dish not a prawn main course served at Rp 69.000 about AUS 7,-
I give my life and love for my job, I am ready to apologise if any mistake but feel very hurt when judge in such a way.
Wish you all the best on your next travelling experience.
Massimo

We were so happy with our experience here we can't wait to come back! I had the pate for entree and I could have just ate that all night! For mains I had pasta with prosciutto and 4 cheeses and my fiancé had pizza. We were in food heaven! The next day we came back to try the gelato and sorbet and that was great too! Overall, a wonderful experience.

We visited Massimos on two occasions. There is a really good selection of dishes to choose from and on both visits the food was really good. On the first visit, Massimo was seen in the restaurant talking to customers and checking things were okay and the service was very good. On our second visit Massimo was just leaving for home and bid us goodnight. Without him around the service was not good. We had to wait quite a while for our drinks order to be taken and then another wait for them to arrive. Themain course took so long to arrive we were considering leaving.
Would definitely visit again after makimg sure Massimo is in !!!
