We're staying with Ron and the lovely staff here at SBV as part of our Bali Honeymoon adventure. Everything here has been fantastic - our room is always cleaned each morning perfectly, the pool and garden surroundings are gorgeous and most importantly, the Bintangs are icey icey cold. Its a great place to sit and take in the serenity in a quieter part of town but still in enough of a walking distance to beachfront warungs. A Bluebird Taxi to the "main area" of Sanur should cost you around $1.50-2 AUD and Irma can help you with that. Breakfasts are basic but honestly, with all the great local food, you wouldn't need much more. Iced coffees are the bomb diggity! The room itself is basic and the bed is super comfy. Outdoor bathroom is good too. Being a smaller facility it really has a great, quiet, personal vibe to it and would definitely recommend it to anyone. Do yourself a favour... steer clear of the commercialised resort complexes and bring yourself to SBV!

Just finished a 6 night stay at Villa 6 and had a lovely time here. The villas are way more modern than I had expected and much cleaner and upmarket than the Puri sanitarian that we stayed in last year in Sanur. It's big advantages are the 3 seperate bedrooms if you have teenagers, and it's position right next to the beach. There are plenty of places to eat along the beach and my advice is to hire a bike for your stay, which works out at 2 dollars a day...
We had massages at the girls who work at the entrance to the beach and ended up buying them a pair of Havaianas each as they were so lovely.
All in all a really nice place to stay right on the restaurant strip, and in the middle of Sanur beach.

Out of the hustle and bustle and only short walk to Sanur beach this is basically your own private getaway at a fraction of the price. Hosts Ron and Irma along with their accommodating staff will greet you with a cold beer help you settle in give you the low down on where to and what to and then leave you in peace to enjoy your holiday. Very laid back and informal, clean and serviced villas daily, breakfast daily, we will be back!

My husband and I stayed at SBV for 5 nights in sept 2012. Had no problem with booking ,which I did via email. This is budget accommodation and not a hotel as such, more like a B&B,with only 6 rooms and a family villa, with the owner and his wife living on the premises. The room was comfy and clean, not flash, it is old Bali style, with outdoor bathroom, which we really enjoy.I could stay home and go to the gold coast for a resort style holiday. The pool was lovely, always clean and refreshing. The Bintang was cold from the esky.Because its a B&B there is no dining room as such, but a communal table where breakfast and other meals that are on the menu are served. Food was tasty. I had a relaxing time here and we had great friendly "neigbours" for our stay.Because it is so small, you could be at mercy of the temperament of the other guests, but we had no problems, other than another guest who liked to go to bed at 8.30pm and didn't like noise of music or talking.Would we stay again? yes, it is great value for money, but it is a taxi ride to the shops every time for me due to mobility problems,so i may stay closer into town for that reason.

Room Tip: all rooms are close to the pool.

we went in august with our inlaws rona and laurie who have been many many times. we had two children under 6, (luckily well behaved) and stayed in the villa closest to the dining area/front desk. now you need to remember it bali and this is not a brand new building but it is cleaned every day and we had kitchen with full sized fridge (could do with some more plates as we had few of us) and the fact its got two toilets is fab.

Its got a great pool with fab trees and surrounds. while we were there they got new dining chairs and tables which i sat on playing on the computer for many an hour (or two!!).... its communal for breakfast time which is lovely to chat with others. breakfast was delicious. Ron made sure the beer was ICEY ICEY cold, which is great after a day of walking and shopping. its at the quieter end of sanur and lets face it you go there to get away from the rat race of home/work/school and its better than kuta..... much better. but the good thing about ron and urmas place is they have thoughtful lovely staff (rosie has got it all sorted) the villa we were in has a verandah with couch and chairs and room to put our kids stuff. we even left a camera by the pool for hour or so and it was there when we got back as there are only about 15 or so people there at one time and its like neighbourly so everyone says hello to each other and asks about their day out, big hotel guests dont share their experiences with each other ...after grabbing their room key they scurry back to theirs rooms i have seen first hand but at ron and urmas you might have to indulge on the days events with the guests floating around the pool and to make sure you can cope you can just grab a beer have a quick chat and then wander into your room..... admittedly we were worried our young children might annoy the other residents but i think they liked chatting to them. it is sooooo quiet except for one stray dog kept coming back to the front gates that are locked at night and barking to get in.... staff found him a new home.... otherwise the place is quiet as!! just a short stroll to the beach. 250 metres from mecure (stayed there once in 2012 - normal kinda stay) and eateries included gardenia and a brand new one two doors down from gardenia. also i went to saur spa for my massages, nice quiet place just three doors north of gardenia

a quick beema for 20.000 rupees for anywhere along the sanur strip is grea value, and your can walk to the main strip in sanur in about 15 mins to get your appetite started and beema home.

we would stay again as we prefer quiet and lovely atmosphere not to mention there was no hard sell of any type and our kids got their water fix (no kids club or kids water slide ere!) when we went to waterbom..... cant wait to go back to waterbom (ive reviewed this too) as 2 new rides are coming soon and my son will be the extra 3 cms he needs for the big ones he missed out!!!! who hooo..!!!

thanks to ron and urma we will always book with them...... see you next year!! sharon and ben. xx

WOW. What can we say? This is such a great little property and from the moment we walked in we felt completely at home. It is small - only six rooms and two villas - very informal and laid back. The pool is great - never crowded, the rooms are good with a nice bathroom and a big fridge. Ron was there for helpful advice if needed and Rosie was fantastic at making sure everything ran smoothly. Breakfasts by the pool were excellent. A short walk to mertasari beach or a $2 taxi ride will take you anywhere in sanur. Will we be back? You bet we will.

Room Tip: Probably the rooms furthest from the road will be quieter
