DO NOT STAY HERE!! Stayed here at the weekend and everything was going fine until we came back from our night out and a guy that works in the place followed us back to our villa and robbed my partners handbag we went straight to security who knew about the robbery but was reluctant to give up his fellow worker up, i eventually talked them around to going back down toward the villa and dropping the handbag in the grass, the security man then pretended to find it, we were just happy to get back the bag containing our passports and money and promply left. There are no locks on villa doors these guys in this place make a living from robbing touists. Stay clear! Could not believe it! It is not worth the price stated with no save box in villas either and mosquitos rampant in the bedroom

Thank you very much for your review, I think your comment is not mach with our staff chronology during the time, 180 % different. The mentality of our Staff is not really the same like what you published on trip advisor. You are coming back from outside and drunk until you don't know which room you are stay right now and our security assist you to the room and immediately you reported that you lost your bag in the room and immediately our staff help you to find out where is you bag and they touch you pushing them and report your bag already found by you and usually if we have some guests lost something in the room should be report to security and to the police. The security asking you to report to the police you are not agree and your bag already on hand. So you lay as a guests and not the room through hour reception and our security already report to imigration after we read the comment on trip advisor. your comment is not right

My family hired 3 of the villas for a family holiday. It was ideal. We loved having the pool all to oursleves and the villas are close to the beach and the main street of Sanur. all the rooms were clean and lovely and we had a great time there. The kitchen was empty, but you can ask for plates and pots and pans. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We had a great time there.

Room Tip: The room with the pool view is bigger and has an outdoor shower.

After visiting Sanur multiple times, we decided that a villa would best suit our needs as a family of four. We found the Villas on booking.com and the villa lived up to all expectations.

We asked for a 2 bedroom villa and were allocated villa number 1. In total there were three available rooms, 2 on the ground floor and one upstairs. We only occupied 2 out of the 3 rooms, with the third being locked so that we could enjoy the villa as a family. The rooms were comfortable and had everything as advertised. The larger room had opening doors straight onto the pool and had a wonderful bathroom which included an enthralling outdoor shower. A hairdryer, towels and toiletries were all provided. The bedroom areas in both villas had large mosquito nets to protect you from mosquitos which was an element that we welcomed.

Pool towels were also provided on a daily basis and when we asked for two extra sunbeds the staff were more than obliging with the sunbeds arriving in half an hour. Breakfast was adequate with a choice of American, Continental and Indonesian. The fruit platter was a bit sparse but the rest of the breakfast was enough to fill you up.

Booking.com stated that wireless internet was only available in the lobby but we discovered that each villa has its own personal wifi system. The speed of the internet was perfectly acceptable so no complaints in that department.

The villas are located on a small side street just a two minute stroll to the beachfront where there are plenty of restaurants to eat in and many market stalls to explore.

All in all we had a fantastic time at Dampati. The staff were obliging and always greeted you with a smile. Any requests we had were dealt with in a timely and professional manner. The villas made the perfect base for a perfect holiday and we would not fail to recommend them.

Found a great deal on bookings.com and wish we could have stayed longer! We had a 2 bedroom villa with our own private pool, rooms were very nice and loved the outside shower! It could maybe do with a bit of TLC to bring it back up to top standard as a few things were starting to look a bit old, but nothing that would interfere with it being a great place. Breakfast the 1st day was a bit ordinary, but on the other days it was great - and delivered to our dining room! Only couple of minutes walk to the beautiful beach, restaurants and shopping.

We booked this property on the web based on the beautiful pictures on the website and the impression that this was a 4.5 star property (according to booking.com) and a hefty price. The hotel website directed us to booking.com to make the booking. When we arrived we were in for a real disappointment. The property must have been left to deteriorate since the photos were taken. The staff seemed disinterested and very junior. The outdoor kitchen surfaces were all covered with a thin layer of grease which was completely unappetizing. You couldn't imagine preparing any food there. The bedrooms were stinking hot when we arrived and turning the air conditioning on for an hour did little to change this. The 'executive study' was just as hot and comprised a dust covered desk and a shabby couch. One toilet was missing a seat and was cobwebbed and dirty. The walls were cracked with peeling paint and brown black stains on the wall of uncertain nature.
We immediately sought out alternative accommodation nearby and informed the staff that we were checking out and expected a refund. I had to wait about an hour for a 'manager' to turn up and he initially refused a refund wanting full payment for one night despite that we were checking out only after an hour or so. They wanted to offer us another villa which was apparently cleaner but I just wanted to get out of there at this stage. They put a lot of pressure on me to pay and only after calling booking.com and getting their intervention could I leave. They even emailed me subsequently asking me to send my credi card details and to sign a form saying I agree to full payment. I just forwarded this to booking.com with a report on my experience. My credit card hasn't been billed at this point but if it is I will be contacting my credit card company. This is a 2 star accomodation at best and should be marketed and priced as such.

Room Tip: Look before you book.
