“Great value for money in a good location”
Reviewed 5 July 2014

My daughters and I stayed in villa 9 for 3 nights. We booked a 2 room villa and were given a 3 bed one to ourselves. The villa was clean and the pool lovely, big and very refreshing. The grounds of the villa complex are lovely and we felt very safe here. The rooms were a fantastic size and my daughter enjoyed the outdoor shower very much. The staff went out of their way to make us feel so very welcome, they even sourced hot chocolate for my daughter for breakfast even though it was not on their menu. I was very impressed that even though we had to leave on our last day extremely early, the staff provided breakfast with a smile (other more expensive villas we have stayed in before refused to provide early breakfast at all). The 3 choices for breakfast were very delicious, we tried them all. Yes the villa we were in could use a little updating in areas but overall in the areas that matter the villa was better than we expected for the price. We would have eaten in the villa if there was a more extensive menu, this is an area that could be improved, but there are good restaurants close by. The drivers out the front of the complex were good, we used Mangku Ketut Windia who was a very safe driver and very knowledgeable of all things on our day out. We had the best facial of our trip at Lily Spa which is on the opposite side of the road going away from the beach, very good value and the ladies were lovely. The bonus of these villas are the proximity to the beach, about 100mtrs. Lovely to walk or ride the beach path. Thankyou to all the staff that made our stay with you so relaxing and we hope to come back soon.

nice villas, good location ,close to the beach, plenty of places to eat, each villa has three bedrooms which are rented separately, therefore you share the outdoor kitchen lounge and pool
we were lucky after two days we had the villa to ourselves, the manager blocked the other rooms so we could enjoy our stay in private . the villas could do with a bit of T L C but good value for money ,well done to Suteja and all the staff for being friendly and making our stay a great one

Room Tip: all villas look good

I arrived late and left early, on my way to somewhere else. Booking was bungled so arrival poor. In fact there was a guy with his baggage on his way out pointing at staff and saying: "I'm really p-ssed - I'd better get a free drink or meal for this." Turns out they didn't have his web booking and couldn't find space.

I was luckier but there were a few moments of mild panic until they eventually found me a room, which was nice enough but a little worn. Plumbing in the bathroom terrible, water flowed through the sink plug hole straight onto the floor. Staff are nice, breakfast ok and surroundings pleasant but I'd look elsewhere in Sanur. There are better properties out there and first impressions count.

So sad we only had one night for this little oasis. Traditional villas in the most beautiful individual garden settings with private pool and even fish pond. An abundance of Frangipani flowers welcoming our entry. What a wonderful place to just Switch off and Be. I feel totally recharged. The staff are friendly and nothing seems a bother. The rooms are tastefully and romantically decorated. I love the outdoor shower! Try having a drink in the pool at sunset. This morning three different types of breakfast were delivered punctually - the Indonesian one was my favorite. I'll be back!

Room Tip: We had a Room Number with an A. That seems to be the master suite and had the best features. But B w...

The villas were great and the location was perfect but the most impressive thing about this property is the staff. They are very professional and will do anything for you.

We have a son aged two and a baby girl aged six months so it was never going to be a totally relaxing ten days but the Dampati staff made our stay as chilled out as possible.

Just one thing, our villa had obviously been empty for a while so it was a bit dusty when we moved in but it only took a few minutes to clean the place up.

We will be back.

Hi, we had booked in to stay on the equivalent resort on Nusa Lembongan, but were unable to make it. Dempati Villa happily allowed us to stay here free of charge. Beautiful villa with great service and comfy beds!

We really enjoyed our stay here. We are a family of four- Mum, Dad with a teenage boy and a teenage girl and this place worked really well for us with separate bedrooms each with a private ensuite. The staff were very friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. They always checked it was convenient before cleaning our rooms or the pool which was nice. The rooms were clean and tidy and the air conditioner worked beautifully in all the bedrooms. There was free and unlimited wi fi which was great and kept the teenagers happy. Every day we had breakfast brought to our villa and the dining table was set for us. We could choose a time that we wanted breakfast, there were about four menu options and it was always delivered promptly. We ordered room service a couple of times and were very happy with the meals as well as the price. The room service menu was limited but was a mix of western and Balinese food and was delicious. Each bedroom had a phone which could be used to call reception or as an intercom between room which proved handy for us as we had a teenager in each of the other bedrooms. It was very close to the beach, about 2 minutes walk in one direction and there was a taxi stand in the other direction about 2 minutes walk away. It was possible to walk to Macdonalds, Starbucks, restaurants and shops as they were all only a very short distance away. The villa had a high fence around the perimeter and lockable gates at the fence entrance. The reception staff were lovely, very security conscious and quickly learnt you were a visitor. We had a baliness businessman visit us and he was not allowed through to our villa until after reception staff had checked with us. It is a small complex, only about 4-6 villas in total and very private. The staff were very honest, we left a computer harddrive behind when we checked out and a staff member found it and gave to us before we left. We enjoyed the experience of open air lounge and dining facilities although we had never stayed anywhere like this before and it was different locking yourself with a key in your bedroom at night. Probably not neccesary to lock yourself in but just a precaution although we felt perfectly safe. We stayed in the villa closest to the road but it was very quiet because it is an access road through to the beach and it was usually closed off at night with security guards not letting cars through. The one negative would be that there was a safe in our wardrobe but it wasn't bolted to anything and we weren't happy to leave anything in it (passports or money) because the theif could pick it up and take it. Would stay there again. Fantastic location and experience.
