This hotel is a reasonable budget hotel, we actually booked the cheapest room available, as usual it looked better in the photo, If you're on a budget go for the slightly more expensive rooms, they're a lot bigger, the cheaper ones are more box like and are practical for sleep only if the sheets are clean, it's a shame really as the rooms are quite nice, the staff are friendly and helpful but the cleaners need to put a little more love and effort into their jobs, the hallways and stairs are dirty and don't get cleaned. The rooms have all you need, the air-con works well, fridge, t.v,. bath, hairdryer, some have balconies. The location is also good, close to the beach and restaurants and also very quiet for sleeping. Our stay was ok and really the only complaint was the general cleanliness of the hotel and rooms.

Room Tip: Don't choose a room directly above the reception, they're very small with a window the size...

Just enjoyed a 4 day break in Bali at Abian Kokoro. We chose the standard room & got value for money. Clean sheets & towels every day. Good choice of breakfast & plenty of tea, coffee & fruit juice.
Only problem is Ms Okta! When we asked to pay we where told we had paid by credit card! I thought this odd but asked to check & told again we had paid. Then the morning we left we were asked to pay. I explained what had happened but offered to pay anway but only by credit card. A phone call was made to Ms Okta who kept on and on about paying even though her staff said I'd paid and I had offered to pay. I put the phone down on her and did pay by credit card.
What was a good stay became a nightmare. Avoid this hotel if Ms Okta still works there!

Check in was good and the staff friendly. Location in good part of Sanur but down a side lane and within easy walking distance to beach, thats where the good points end.
The building and rooms need renovating, some of the 3 floor accomodation building is close behind another building so balcony looks at it's back wall and the noise echoes between the 2 , also construction work going on till 10.00pm in front building, not good when trying to sleep, has no lift and stairs have many broken tiles. The rooms are basic with a few extras like international TV and electric jug. The floors where dirty ,the 2 towels where musty even when new each day. The shower is over the bath , no curtain, and mould around edges. The sheets had marks and stains, to scared to look under them, not a nice place, so we checked out early ,wasn't an easy process, as there are far better places at much cheaper price, this is NOT value for money and would never stay again at any price.

The staff are lovely and super friendly and helpful !
Originally we had room 5.3 , on the third floor. The air con didn't work properly, and turned off every ten minutes. The next day we moved to room 1.3 on the first floor, way better!!
Be very very careful when using the free bikes, DONT use the red one, it broke and cost my friend 600k in doctors fees, and stopped him snorkelling/diving on his holiday.
The breakfasts are amazing!

For a Standard room (the cheapest are Economy) we paid about Rp30k on a late deal. I thought we got a lot for our money in what seems to be a pricey town - aircon and fan, good wifi in the room, TV with several channels in English DVD player (borrow DVDs at reception), fridge, kettle, hairdryer, bathtub, and balcony with drying rack. Breakfast was included - not gourmet, like most cheap Asian hotels they need to learn that toast and warm bread are not the same thing, but it was OK, there was choice and real coffee.. Some maintenance issues like cracked floor tiles on the stairs and our aircon broke down - but after a bit of insistence it was fixed that evening and the staff were very nice. My only real concern was the gap around the patio doors, but we stuffed the curtain in and sprayed the room, and got no bites - perhaps being on the 2nd floor helped (NB there is no lift, and I think the ground floor rooms were the economy ones). Quiet location off the main road - the lane goes down to the beach where there are 3 nice but not expensive restaurants, cheaper warungs with sunbeds for hire are just north beyond the Puri Santrian hotel, and there are more restaurants in Jl Cemara, many with live music - so although it's a bit out of the centre it's fine.

23-04-2014 to 29-04-2014 – 6 nights.
A very well appointed room for a budget hotel – multi channel English TV, A/C, H&C water, kettle with tea and coffee, free drinking water, DVD player (DVDs in reception), hair dryer, mini fridge, desk and balcony. Breakfast served in the Japanese restaurant downstairs.
Very pleasant and helpful staff – our A/C stopped working and with only a little persuasion they got someone in to fix it and it was working again within a couple of hours.
Very highly recommended.
