We booked in here for four nights and felt imprisoned for the duration. Once past Reception the hotel is reminiscent of a prison; all windows look out onto caged balconies and barred gantries link each block. The rooms are small and pokey, more like cells than hotel rooms, with just the bare necessities. The bathroom longed constantly and was little larger than a cupboard, there were no drawers for clothes. The breakfasts were awful, the 'hot' food always cold and often undercooked. It was all very depressing.

Room Tip: Try somewhere else first.

We had a pool room which was lovely and we couldn't at any time fault the staff or service in the hotel. We ate a meal there as well as breakfast daily and it was good on all occasions. The location was good and we enjoyed the walk down and along the beach. I personally don't feel the need to be right on the beach and if anything the walk between the hotel and beach was not only exercise it gave the opportunity to check out the many restaurants and cages along the way.not sure where some of the negative reviews are coming from and what these people's expectation levels are but we felt it was fantastic value for money, Aussies seem to choose this newish hotel as a pretence so there is always some great conversations poolside and lots of fantastic recommendations of where to shop and eat. Well worth paying a bit extra for a pool room.

Room Tip: Pool side room worth the extra few dollars

This was our third visit to Bali so we have been in alot of places here and all have been great until this one!!! We arrived at this hotel after staying at the Le Meridien in Jimbaran (great hotel) and the Echo Beach Villas(also amazing) . To be honest from the moment I entered our room at The Oasis Lagoon I wanted to cry....and if I hadn't of pre-paid I would have left straight away. We had a family duplex and it was so small we could hardly move in there. The balcony was like a cage and the stairs in the duplex were dangerous for anyone, yet alone children. I asked the manager at reception if we could change rooms and we moved to a family room on the ground floor which was much better but she was very rude and made us pay extra. As you will see from the photos I took this place is very run down. It feels like you are very confined and there was horrible feel to the whole place. It was dirty and every pool towel was stained, one with blood!! I often read reviews and think people are just being picky but I am telling you there are so many better places than this in Bali , please don't waste your money. I would never ever set foot in this hotel again

We stayed in the family duplex room which is on the top floor but that didn't bother us, the stairs are a good way of working off all the yummy food you eat in Bali (there is a lift). The room was really nice with large shower. Was lovely hearing the rain at 5am in the morning on the roof. The room does have the smallest fridge we had ever seen! The cocktails were over priced, a Margarita was $14 and I was paying $8-$9 everywhere else but that didn't really bother us, we just drank elsewhere. Loved being right next door to Hardy's-was so easy to pop over there if we needed something. Lot's great restaurant's close by and some great cheap spa's coming out the driveway turn right (most were $6 for a full body massage). Great money changer across the road. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel to other's wanting a great priced hotel in a central location.

Room Tip: The family duplex room stairs are very steep so may not be good for small children.

Was glad we got the position we did, after seeing how many rooms there were, you would have to be 'pool side' to enjoy the place.
Was a fair walk to the beach, but the staff were very friendly and helpful. Only thing I disliked was the price of the alchoholic drinks - although not hard to take a short walk to the many restuarants for bevies!

Room Tip: Definately want to be facing the pool - if you get ground level the pool is literally at your front door
