This place is very famous in Bali. Make sure you get there before lunch hours or it will be hard to get seats. The portion is quite big, in 1 package we got the grilled fish, fish soup, and rice. The fish cut was big/a lot.
The grilled fish is amazing. The outer is crispy, while the meat is juicy and tender. It is seasoned perfectly. The chili sauce (sambal) is very delicious too.
The fish soup is pretty good, the meat is tender and juicy. You can also taste the spices in the soup, it is like a comfort food. However, it is not as good as the fish soup that I found in Batam / Pekanbaru / Palembang. The fishy smell was quite strong (for me).
I prefer the grilled fish.
Service was average but fast, like a typical Asian side-street food stall (Warung). There is no air-con.
The price was reasonable, around Rp. 35,000 (USD 3) for 1 portion.
