We stayed in Bali over the Easter weekend and really enjoyed the Sanur Paradise Plaza Hotel. It feels like a resort when you're on the hotel property but when you step outside, you have access to local restaurants and convenience stores, not to mention the beach nearby. We had read in other reviews that the shuttle was a good way to get to the beach but we set out for a walk and ended up there in no time. There are a number of cute beach bars and restaurants along the water front but they are made a little less charming by the litter that is lying around. The shopping stalls on the little roads off the beach have a great selection but bargain hard because their prices are a little high.
The pool at the hotel is very long, divided up into sections of different depths along the length of the hotel. We booked a club room which was at the very end and opened on to the round pool at the end of the hotel garden/courtyard. We liked the room and the outdoor bathroom but didn't like the fact that the voices of the children (and some parents) playing in the pool echoed back down to our end and through the not-very-well-insulated walls. I appreciate the fact that kids wake up early and the pool is a perfect place for them but I appreciate even more being able to sleep past 8:00 a.m. on a long weekend. Not the hotel's fault but we would probably take a garden-view room next time.
Some other reviewers have said that this is more of a business travel hotel but I travel a lot for business and think that it would be wasted on that. Granted, it is fairly convenient but it is also a great place to go for a vacation in Sanur.

Myself and partner and 2 kids aged 4 and 7 stayed in Sanur at this Hotel for 11 days.
Loved the hotel. So tropical, friendly staff, comfortable beds and quilts (wanted to take it home in my suitcase but it wouldnt fit!!!!), Great food and cocktails!!
Loved the pool. Was safe and relaxing. We brought my youngest son some floaties from the hotel gift shop they had so it made life easier while I say back with a Arrak Attack, soaking up the Bali sun..........Pool not deep. About waist deep.

The buffet breakfast was amazing. Meigoring, Bali hot dishes, Variety of hot foods like eggs, omlettes, sausages. Bacon didnt smell or look like bacon though!!! avoided it.
They had fresh fruits, yougurts , pastries, breads and cakes, The BEST banana bread I have ever eaten and they changed their menus every day. Im home now and still miss my breakfasts there.

There are restaurants across the road ( and KFC) and when you turn left out of the enterance and walk the 2 minutes to the beach you will feel like you are in Kuta area. Great cafes with live music, great food, shop stalls, hair braiding that cost 200,000rph,sun beds which we paid 40,000 rph to use all day and I even got a massage for 60,000. It was great!!

Internet lounge across the road from hotel and mini marts.
Advise not to but alcohol duty free and buy their arak bali wine which is 40% and lovely with lemonade or orange juice. Can take 3 bottles per adult home each and cost me $4.00 each bottle. This was not boxed too!

Room service - small serves. Craved sald dish and had ceaser salad. Disapointed as drowned in dressing and hardly and chicken. Asked for couble serving the next time and prepared to pay double but again the plate was bigger and serving was small. Also I disliked their hotdogs with cheese. Didnt taste right. Unsure of the sausage in it!

Drivers - waited constantly outside of grounds asking if we needed a driver. Paid 70,000 to Kuta, 180,000 rph -( $23.00 aud)to Safari park and return and waited 6 hours for us as we explored it all to the max. Felt bad for driver as they wait for you for next to nothing.

The cocktails from the hotel cost $70,000 which was like buying a drink in Australia. Price was expensive I thought . Reccomend Rozi to make your drinks at the Kamodo Cafe next to pool. Great and friendly service and i thought - stronger!!!

Safe - I left my safe open once during breakfast and returned to security and manager waiting for us (good timing really) to let us know we left it unlocked and the cleaner reported it and for us to be cautious. I thanked them so much. The $900aud still there and not touched. Thankful for that. Honest staff.

1 hour Inclusive Massage in Package - Excellent. Proper trained staff. Felt so relaxed. Walked out feeling light and sleepy. HIGHLY RECCOMMEND.

ALL in ALL - I loved this hotel and would return again definately. Its in the quieter part of Bali compared to Kuta and I loved it. The kids loved it and it was child friendly.
Would not recommend for young adults who want to shop constantly and party at night. Its 15 minutes to Kuta for all of that.
LOVED IT LOVED IT

I've stayed at this hotel a few times, and unless you're unfortunate enough to be there on mosquito-spraying day (once a week, early in the morning), it's fine. The staff are friendly and efficient. The rooms are quite old but they have done their best to maintain them, and they are always clean. There's nothing much to do in the area around the hotel but it's a good place to stay when you need to be near the airport for a late night flight - it's about half an hour away - or as a base for seeing other places.

The room service food isn't as good as the hotel restaurant food but they do 24-hour service. Some rooms now have internet (not free, though). There is also an internet service in a gloomy room near the reception area that I think used to be used for baggage storage!

We loved the hotel. Breakfast was nice, rooms clean, staff friendly. The food in the reataurants is fine but accross the street there is a very nice, clean, cheap restaurant called Oasis. The food is very good, the waiters very friendly.
Just to give you an idea.
