“What more do you need?”

This is our 7th trip to Bali and our 4th stay at this hotel and the place just gets better!
Making use of the free Wi-Fi by writing this review from the beach
Staying in a club room this time these are more spacious than the beach wing rooms and are set a round a lovely 3 tier pool complex. That said never had a problem with the beach rooms in the past.
The place is fairly full but still not had a problem finding an empty sun bed and have secured on of the 12 double loungers most days and that’s despite wandering down for breakfast at about 9:30
All the staff are polite and friendly and never fail to greet you as they pass and there always someone cleaning something. Food is ok but don’t expect a full English breakfast. It’s mostly fruit, toast, egg / omelette chef, cake & a local dish or two. If you crave a fry up then the trophy bar out the front of the hotel will oblige. In fact every culinary taste can be catered for along the main road (not had a bad meal yet.)
In short if you want somewhere clean relaxed and friendly this is the place for you if you need to be entertained or need a kids club go to the Hyatt.

This was our second time at the Puri Santrian. We again chose a club room and were not disappointed. The only down side I can find is that it was hard to get a sun bed on the beach unless you managed to reserve by 6am. This was worse than last time we visited, but there were still beds available by the poolside, and late afternoon people gave up their beds on the beach. On the whole I would recomend this hotel for relaxation. It has fantastic tropical gardens, and there was a small colony of bats above our room. Sanur is on the whole very quiet. We tended to eat at the hotel restaurant. Food was good and I had no problems with the service, it was punctual and friendly. All the staff were polite and friendly, from gardners to waiters. There was also free wi-fi which was a bonus, or the use of the hotels 2 computers in the main building. This year we tried out the Bali cultural evening which offered great food and great Balinese dancing. Well worth doing.

Just returned from our 4th trip to the Puri and it was as great as ever. Staying in the Bungalows this time and was very happy with the facilities. The hotel is beautiful, gardens and public areas all well maintained. The staff were as friendly as ever, greeting you everytime we met someone. The only drawback is the constant saving of sunbeds at the beach, some of these were being reserved from 6am!!!! many were not used until hours later and its totally unfair, and unnecessary.

The free internet access was great and nobody hogged the computers! all in all I would highly recommend this hotel and cant wait to return again next year!.

We are in our 50's and stayed at various locations in Bali over the years. This was our first visit to Sanur. The Hotel Puri Santrian was better than expected but most of all it had all the qualities and ambience we envisaged Bali to have. Private beach and Lagoon, palm trees with sea breezes and no hawkers. Everything about this Hotel was good. However there are no, Non Smoking areas in the restaurants or pool areas which we found disconcerting. The hotels guests are mainly Europeans which are fine by us but most of them smoke and they don’t care where.
Other than that, a great place to stay. The Management at the Santrian realise there are some issues to deal with regarding smoking, particularly in the restaurant, when people are eating. They have assured us that the problem is being looked into.

Stayed for 3 nights and as it was the quiet time we were upgraded to a Club room. This was spacious with a nice balcony. Air con worked great which is essential in Bali. Had only one meal there which was OK. The resort appeals to elderly Germans who filled the place. The spa was beautiful with 2 for 1 offers on all treatments. It was sheer bliss. Sanur is an odd place with lots of similar street traders. Not my favourite resort but good for a relaxing few days break

We arrived late evening on the Saturday & went straight to the bar for a drink (sweltering hot!). We planned to be tourists from day one but the pool was so inviting we stayed at the hotel on the Sunday & just relaxed. Perfect! We attempted to learn a few phrases in Indonesian & we found the staff were really excited that we were trying to learn their language by pracicing our skills on them & this opened up the conversations with much laughter & jolliness. We had a lovely time, the staff were lovely, the room was clean/air conditioned which was a joy as it was so humid. We made friends with a few of the staff members & are keeping in touch with them. One in particular took us to meet his family & showed us a few sites which was a really lovely personal way to see Bali. My partner had never been overseas before & he revelled in going to another country that was so different culturally to Australia. We even had some locals 'thanking us' for coming to visit Bali - the people were lovely, gentle & we found them very friendly. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend the Puri Santrian to anyone. The location was great as there are many restaurants outside of the resort to go to choose from for a change - lots of cuisines too choose from. We also found it easy to get around by taxi or walking. The best part was the pool! There was probably only one down side & that was the insecticide spraying that occurred 3 evenings we were there. having said this a letter was in our room advising of when it would occur & why it was being done. We stayed 8.5 nights overall & managed to have a a couples spa/massage on one of the mornings - pure bliss! The gardens are lovely too. Bali & the Puri Santrian will long be a lovely memory for us.
