“Its CLOSED Thank god.”

We went here 6 months ago on our last visit to Bali and we said to each other this place wont last long and it didnt.
I will give you a quick run down on the food they used to have but its only chit chat because they closed.
The décor, ambience and cleanliness was excellent
The owners are also very nice, the wife Indonesian and the husband French.
The husband was the chief, I’m not sure what he used to do in France but I’m guessing it wasn’t cooking.
The food was terrible.
The menu was small and has nothing you might expect a French Restaurant to have.
If you’re used to creamy tasty food cooked with wine and love or perhaps garlic snails for an entree and a nice French desert then this wasnt the place to dine.
There were only about 3 main courses to choose from and I had the fish in Balsamic vinegar.
Well that’s exactly what I got, a bit of fish with Balsamic vinegar splashed on top with two small piece of Carrot, one small piece of Cauliflower and a slice of tomato.
Wooo downright awful.
My friend had Lemon Chicken which was 6 thin slices of Chicken in a lemon sauce with 2 small pieces of Cauliflower and 2 small pieces of carrot.
A very bad meal.
They didn’t even offer desert except Yoghurt or Ice-cream.

The restaurant is closed. No more tasty meals, no more warm company from Didier of Sonia.
A disappointment.
Hope that Didier and Sonia found a new dream.

Sadly this restaurant has now closed.
That is my full report, however it can not be submitted with less than 100 characters. So I had to add this bit.

“Great service but the food was soso!”

Minimalistic menu, clean and friendly restaurant. Sadly we were not impressed by the food or the selection; small portion, the beef was not impressive.... The restaurant does look good and clean and we loved the open kitchen.

“Chic and fancy place”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 28 June 2013 via mobile

This was a nice place, beautifully decorated, owned by a delightful couple.
A bit disappointed with the dishes which were not French cuisine at all, more westernised Asian cuisine but nicely cooked.
I personally think that the small menu is not a problem : you are sure to eat fresh food.
