We have just spent 12 wonderfully relaxing days at Villa Taluh. It is just a short walk to Hardy's supermarket and all the great restaurants, and probably a 10 minute walk to the beach. The owner Dave, is a friendly host who ensured that any issues we may have had was sorted out quickly.

The villa itself has 3 large bedrooms with ensuites (two of which have safes), two kitchens, two indoor lounges and a small pool. The outside living area is located on the second level and is perfectly comfortable; although there are chairs and a table on the first floor which you can place closer to the pool should you wish. It is cleaned daily, with the housekeeper not coming in until late morning. The inside lounge areas are large, air-conditioned and comfortable - with loads of DVD's you can watch or books to read. The villa also has free WIFI, which was perfect for us as we could keep in contact with family and friends. There is a mobile phone which is available to use, should you need to contact a driver, doctor or Dave.

The pool is small. It's not big enough to swim laps, but was certainly refreshing after our long walks. Unfortunately, the weather wasn't particularly warm when we were there and we couldn't really take advantage of the pool area.

If you are familiar with Sanur, you will know that there is a lot of building and redevelopment going on at the moment. The street, which Villa Taluh is located on, is being affected by this. If you are intolerant to the noise of construction, then you need to look elsewhere. However, this should settle down over the next few weeks as the renovations and buildings near the villa are getting closer to completion.

There are some fabulous restaurants and bars close by. Casablanca has different music and events every night - a must go to when you are staying in Sanur. The Village is an excellent Italian restaurant, probably one of the best in Bali, and I believe even offer a pizza delivery service. Cafe Smorgas has great coffee and an excellent breakfast/brunch menu. A little further away from the villa is The Fire Station (great tapas) and some lovely beachside restaurants.

Additionally, there are a number of Bali dogs on the streets around the villa. They are no trouble at all but, for $6.00 AUS, you can buy a bag of dry dog food from Hardy's. A little every day while you are there goes a long way in the lives of these animals.

As we were a couple, I don't think we really took full advantage of what this villa has to offer. I would certainly recommend it for a small family or group of friends. If you are going to stay there as a family, you need to be aware that the pool is not fenced, however doors from the inside to outside areas are lockable.

I spent 5 nights in the villa. Brilliant location short walk to bars restaurants and the beach. The villa is very clean and is cleaned every day. All staff very friendly and offer good advice regarding places to visit and local cultures.
Dave the owner arranged transport from the airport at a very reasonable rate.

Good quiet location close to restaurants and shops. Lots of room and kitchen well-stacked with everything we needed (except a colander). The owners are nice and thoughtful. Cleaner is lovely and helpful, so too, their diver. Nice to be able to get wet in the deep pool although you can't do laps in it.

Fantastic villa with huge amounts of room! fantastic for families or friends sharing or simply a couple wanting privacy and space.
across 2 levels, in a quite street, literally 3 minutes walk to restaurants/bars and the beach.
Cleaned daily the cleaners were polite and trustworthy and the owner and his manager were great at ensuring we were ok.
Airport transfers to and from the villa also.
HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS VILLA! We will be back again!!
