“Fabulous staff, beautiful setting”
Reviewed 7 May 2014

We stayed for 12 fabulous nights and were there for the exciting soft opening which was amazing. Our room was spacious and well appointed with a very comfy bed. Kevin and I also used the gym most mornings before indulging in the resorts scrumptious breakfast. We tried both the buffet and menu breakfast which were each excellent. My final comment if for the magnificent staff who could not have been more helpful, informative and engaging if they tried. I'lll definitely be staying again. Cheers Kerry

Just back from six nights at Swiss Belresort Sanur, What a great resort, friendly and capable staff. Location is perfect, just like the pool. Would definitely recommend it, and it will only get better.

Dear "Quail2014"

thanks so much for a short but heads up feedback. We are 2 weeks after soft opening and doing all we can do get the service and facilities up to speed/expectations.

By mid May we are taking another 24 pool view rooms right above the restaurant into operation and have 2 buildings to go.

By May 12 we launch our extended a la carte menu and in-room dining menu not limited to home made lasagna, fish & chips and a tasty exotic burger. Fresh fruits & smoothies are on offer at the pool bar since we finally received our blenders. So we are moving ;-)

We d hope to welcome you soon back. Contact our team at resvsrwj@swiss-belhotel.com for future bookings and best deals out there.

Cheers

New hotel; private plunge pool; All a wonderful invitation to stay at this property. Timing was great we were there for soft opening. We thank Swiss Hotels for our invite, a great night. Whilst building owners & hotel chain executives are staying there was a buffet breakfast, that disappeared after 2 days. Room 8092. Our private plunge pool was actually an individual plunge area viewed by our neighbours, definitely not private! Toilet was a joke maximum of 15-16cm knee room between cistern and wall. So it was side saddle all the way. Toilet floor flooded every time a shower taken. Lock on balcony door very tardy, security was a concern. Understandably these issues are NOT Swiss Hotels but the owners of the property. We would be embarrassed to put our name to it. Guest rooms are located away from reception and when it rains there is no cover and access is via very wet ramp. Dangerous. One major positive was Fira (guest relations) a wonderful lady who has certainly got her work cut out for her. We wish her well and hope management will listen and support her.

Dear "Willtravel12"

thank you for your review in details. Breakfast is being served "made to order" to guarantee best quality and freshly prepared muesli, home baked breads, poached eggs, etc. instead of a buffet set up. During our soft opening event we had some 120+ rooms in house and changed to buffet.

The issues with e toilets and shower drainage are a "teething" defect in some limited rooms only and has been addressed and being resolved.

In regards to the plunge pools we are currently taking feedback from our guests and will take appropriate decision to improve privacy in some of the rooms while others will be kept as they are since groups of friends/families etc are actually welcoming the set up.

Thank you for mentioning "Fira" our Guest Relation manager - we will certainly share your review with her like we do with all reviews.

Mid May we are welcome a German/French/Dutch speaking Guest Relations colleague in order to further enhance our guest services in multiple languages.

By early June w launch our weekly brunch concept and by August 1st we plan to open Sanur's first roof top bar and lounge with sea / Mount Agung and sunset views ;-)

Once again, it is early days and we are thankful for feedback to "fine tune" facilities and services.

Happy travels and hope to welcome you back

We stayed at grand jacuzzi deluxe room. And when we arrived was just soft opening.

At the first, we choose this hotel because this is the new hotel. Reception, pool are nice. But when we arrived at hotel's room, we're so surprised. Floor is very dusty. Jacuzzi also dirty and crack. Furniture also crack and its not look like the new hotel. The door in the shower room is hard to open. It was really out of our expectesion.

When we take a nap, the janitors at the outside talking & laughing noisy outside. So annoying.

The good things from this hotel only the bed is comfortable & staffs are nice.

Really this hotel is look like the old one.

We stayed here right before their soft opening. The staff were amazing. Our room was 8581 over looking the city. There was a jacuzzi tub outside which we didn't use but would be wonderful. The bed was super comfy and the pillows were the best! The breakfast was the best complimentary one I have had in Bali yet with a French press of black tea every morning. The best part is the pool which is amazing at night.

Thanks Marco and crew.

Pros: comfortable bed, AC good, awesome breakfast, great staff, and love the pool.

Cons: the light on the balcony stays on all night.

I stayed at this hotel a couple of weeks ago and it was still in the soft opening stages. The lobby, restaurant and pool are all designed in a beautiful contemporary style. I also loved walking around and viewing the artwork by local artists hanging in the halls and rooms that is for sale, it gave the hotel a gallery kind of feeling.

I stayed in a double twin room near the back of the hotel. The room is spacious and tastefully done. The beds are very comfy. The only downside is the wall of the balcony is so high that it blocks any real view but this also allows for some privacy as it would otherwise be easy to see into other's rooms. The plunge pool rooms were not ready when I stayed there but look like the best rooms. The concept is really cool and you can dip into the pool straight from your patio.

The staff and the food in the restaurant were outstanding. I loved the decor and also that you had nice views both of the pool and the neighborhood behind the hotel. The pool is wonderful, I spent 1/2 a day sitting by it instead of going to the beach which I never do. Access to the beach is a short walk across the street and they also have a contract with the beach club in front of the Hilton which the will shuttle you to and from. In my opinion this stretch of beach is the most beautiful in Sanur.

Yindra the front office manager demonstrated impressive customer service upon learning that there had been a considerable sound disturbance in my room due to a mechanical problem. I greatly appreciated the attention given to the issue, its clear that the hotel is dedicated to excellent hospitality!

I highly recommend a stay at this wonderful new hotel!

Room Tip: Go for the plunge pool rooms! Top floor rooms near back of hotel may have some noise from mechanical...

Dear "Libnz11"

thanks for such a detailed stay report. Since the hotel is the highest building in the neighborhood the views are indeed stunning and "different". Therefore we are currently planning a roof top bar/lounge to open mid this year.

We hope you will visit us soon again in Sanur!

My husband and I are currently staying here in a plunge pool room. Yes, the hotel is in the soft stage opening, but compared to ones we stayed at in Ko Samui, the noise levels are more than bearable, and hardly noticeable, masked by the cascading waterfalls. Yes, some things still need work, but the hotel lobby , occupied rooms and pool area are more than up to standard. There are minor in room fixes to be done, but nothing that will detract from your stay.

Location: in the heart of Sanur, with many amenities on your doorstep- Hardy's up the road, Spas up the road, and great Warangs around. The beach is over the road through Griya Santrium, or a hotel shuttle bus will take you to the beach in front of the Hyatt hotel.

Room: we stayed in a plunge pool room. Great size, VERY comfy bed and pillows. AC works really well. Bathroom great size, with bath and separate shower. In room safe, big enough for your laptop. Very clean overall, with tea and coffee making facilities and a mini fridge- unfolded, so enough space for all your own things.
Sliding doors to the little terrace and plunge pool.

DEFINITELY get a plunge pool room, it is so worth it. As the foliage continues to mature, you will be well screened from the main pool. The plunge pool is great for late night dips.
The main pool is huge and fantastic, with a swim up bar.

Breakfast is served buffet style with eggs and pancakes made to order. Good variety on offer.
In room dining from the menu is fantastic- comparable in cost to places around the hotel and the burger was especially tasty.

The staff are incredibly friendly and enthusiastic, and definitely aim to make your stay as relaxing and pleasant as possible.

OVERALL: A HUGE thank you to the fab staff,& Marco and Fira, for an great stay.
YES, I would definitely stay here again. Location, staff and the serenity of the place makes this hotel a fantastic option.

Room Tip: Choose a plunge pool room, it's on the ground floor and well worth it!
