First of all, let’s talk a little bit about Sanur. If you are a “party animal”, then this is not the best place for you. Sanur is quiet and most of the places will shut down around midnight.

Regarding the hotel, we booked a Jacuzzi grand deluxe room that was awesome. When I first saw it, I thought it looks like a honeymoon room. The room is really big and nice and the jacuzzi is actually on the balcony, so you can enjoy the view. The hotel is brand new and not finished yet. We were told that in the future it will have approx. 300 rooms and only 150 were finished in June. But don’t worry about the noise, the hotel is really quiet.

The staff was really kind and helpful every time we needed something. In fact, our first room was close to the water pump which broke, so we could feel a vibration and a bad sound all day long. They checked it but the problem could not be fixed on the spot, and because all the rooms similar to ours were booked, we were offered a room with a small pool. Unfortunately it had two beds that could not be moved (actually, all the beds were fixed so keep that in mind if you are travelling as a couple) so we refused the offer. After two days the very first Jacuzzi grand deluxe room with pool view was finished so we moved there. And to compensate the delay, we got a free ride to the airport. Problem solved!

The breakfast was decently rich with cereals, fruits, pancakes, fresh juices, croissants and other local dishes. We also used the room-service, but we were not satisfied with the food portions which were quite small. But you have plenty of options outside the hotel and even a shop opened for 24hours.

A great thing is that the hotel offers a free bottle of water every day and this can come in handy after a long day on the beach. The hotel has its own private beach that is at 20 minutes walking distance. A free shuttle is offered starting with 9.30 in the morning and returning at 17.00. If this does not please you, the public beach is only 5 minutes away. We preferred to take advantage of the private beach which was really nice, quiet and almost empty in the morning. You are offered a towel and a free drink and you can also have lunch there at a reasonable price.

The Wi-Fi would disconnect really quickly, and the speed was basic, good enough to check/write emails and do some minor research on Google, but not to watch videos.

Overall, we really enjoyed our stay at Swiss-Belresort and would recommend it.

Room Tip: We really enjoyed our Jacuzzi grand deluxe room with pool view (second floor)

We stayed here in June/July 2014, and although they have had some hiccups with the finishing of some rooms, the value for money and the facilities is outstanding. We stayed in a jacuzzi room, the jacuzzi is not much good, but the huge pool area is amazing. We got married in bali, and a lot of our guests stayed here, everyone was of the same opinion, whether young, old or alone this place is amazing.

We also stayed in May 2014 and the rooms then where still great.

Highly recommended.

Room Tip: Most of the rooms facing the poplars twin rooms. The jacuzzi rooms usually face out over the surroun...

We stayed at this hotel for 14 nights in June. The standard of the hotel will be first class once completed. We decided on the Grand Deluxe room with plunge pool. I would recommend this room if you can pay the $20 extra. It's great to wake up in the morning, go for a run then come back to the plunge pool to cool off. The staff throughout the hotel are excellent and can't do enough for you. Their meet and greet policy can be a little over the top but this is the way they have been trained. Breakfasts are great. If you want bacon ask for it and they will bring it to your table as it is not generally in the main buffet. Swimming pools are brilliant. Towels on the beds everyday. Sun lounges in the shallow pool to sun bathe is different! Would definitely stay again once the building work is finished (July/August 2014). Only downside at the moment is the noise from the finishing off of the rooms but it was bareable. Great hotel. Free cookies in reception are a must try!!

Room Tip: Choose the grand deluxe plunge pool room if you can pay the extra.

Dear "Alan R"
thanks so much for your post. Glad to ear you enjoyed. Yes we serve made to order bacon during breakfast to ensure better quality. The hot buffet will be moved to the show kitchen where we have live cooking station and daily specials like crepes and so on in a few weeks from now.

The cookies, apples and ice tea in the lobby are free flow during guests stay - we think this is the best way to go.

Please contact us at resvsrwj@swiss-belhotel.com for future reservations. Only here you can book the plunge pool rooms and get best deals for any length of stay.

Have a nice day

This is a new hotel that is still to be opened. Work was still going on in many bedrooms. I was in a twin room. The beds were a 2 large singles. There was a strange thing that I wanted removed but was advised that it was a day bed. This could not be done so I ended up in a very large room cluttered with furniture. This was made worse by the fact there was no desk chair and a very large outdoor cane chair was supplied when a desk chair was requested.
The bathroom was very large with a toilet cubicle and walk-in shower. There was also a shower with the bath. What was strange that there was no door between the bathroom and the room lobby. There was a balcony that looked over a largest outdoor hotel pool I have ever seen.
Everthing was very new and very clean . The sleep quality was excellent.
A very nice touch was the supply of bottled water free of charge.
The staff a very well trained, very helpful, and well presented.
I only visited the restaurant for breakfast. Whilst it is buffet you can get anything cooked to order. I suspect it was included in the very reasonable room rate. Overall an excellent breakfast.
The location is very central. Right in the middle of Sanur night-life. Restaurants and bars every where. I will certainly return to this hotel.

Room Tip: Choose a pool view room

We Spent 4 nights in the Grand Deluxe Room with Jacuzzi and this is our review:

PRO
Big Jacuzzi
Good sleep quality with soft and nice pillows
Good pool

CON
We reserve the room one week prior, but we must wait more than one hour to get the room ready.
Breakfast is standard with limited choices.
Some part of hotel still under maintenance. it's noisy for us.

TIPS
If you want to go to the beach, try to go through Jalan Karang next 50 meters to the right.
