This hotel could be much better than it currently is if it underwent a total refurbishment, it's all rather tired. The Bamboo bar has only recently been built and would be a really good addition to the hotel if it wasn't for the utterly abysmal service that it currently provides - lots of staff but no communication / coordination what so ever, really poor! The hotel offers several restaurants but having eaten at all, none impressed me unfortunately. The hotel has a couple of swimming pools but neither were as clean as they could have been. The suite my husband & I stayed was ok but again could have been cleaner - small insects constantly crawling over the desk & sink, all of which could have been rectified.

+ Huge beautiful territory. Free wifi is possible everywhere. I could watch biathlon on the beach chair. Employees are smiling and very kind. Palm trees are taller than 4 story hotel buildings. Extremely beautiful and very well arranged natural garden. You can feel you are in real tropical jungle. Very clean room. Well organized room interior. Wide and comfortable veranda. Wake up with songs from tropical birds. Excellent rich breakfast buffet with many choices. Room aircon operates everytime even when you are not inside. Huge swimming pools and separated children swimming pool. The most excellent massage with good prices. (better than Baiyoke sky hotel or Wat po in Thailand) Their own very clean golden sand beach. Very clear sea water. Very comfortable suntan chairs. Free towel service. Foods and juices from bar are good and you can order and eat on your beach chair. Shallow sea water without waves is very good for children. Many live shells in the sea. You can see shells and coral branches on the beach. Very good for snokeling. Sailing boat riding or jet ski riding shops are near to the hotel beach. Various kind of shops are located in the hotel street and it's continued to shopping mall. Pleasant to walk. Near around many good and clean restaurants and coffee cafes. So many bloomed flowers in the hotel territory so very fragrant everywhere. No any mosquitoes or flies in hotel. Their soaps are very fragrant and good. In our room veranda there's a bloomed tree and I found 2 bird nests inside - a couple is living there.
- There is no free airport pickup service. Juice from Restaurant is chemical sugar water. Drink natural juice in Bar. Not so good for adults to swim in shallow seawater. When high tide adults can swim easily. Be careful not to be scratched to seaweeds - painful.

The hotel location is a big advantage for guests like us who love to enjoy the sunrise and have a morning stroll down the beach. We were here for 3 nights when it was low season and the beach seats were plenty enough for all the guests. The pools were nice and clean. The room we stayed in looked old but still OK in the sense that everything (AC, water heater, plugs) functioned well. A bit refurbishment, however, would surely make young guests think about returning here one day if they visit Bali again. The soaps provided in the bathroom were never replenished – and when we found out about this every night after our long day trip, we were just too tired to ask for replenishment. The hotel has a large parking area but it was not very well illuminated at night – something that the management may want to improve also.

A large very well kept hotel set in the quieter part of sanur right on the beach, we stayed for 10 nights in a garden delux room, our room was large and clean and very comfortable with stunning views over the gardens and a little glimpse of the beach beyond. The rooms were cleaned spotlessly every day.The pools are lovely, water never cold just perfect to slip into, we prefered the smaller pool as it was very peaceful and close to the beach bar. Breakfast at the sanur is vast and plentiful everything you could possibly need or want. All staff at the sanur are welcoming and pleasant and always on hand to help. Overall i was very pleased with this hotel and would not hesitate to return again, a truly beautiful place to spend time.

In my view a 4 or 5 star hotel should do what it does with abundance, not with a feeling of meanness. Absolutely no Bali feel in hotel foyer, and other than the wonderful Balinese staff, you could be in a hotel anywhere. Ordinary. Check in efficient but en route to our garden view room, ground floor, dark and damp feeling; we noticed how worn and past it's best the hotel was. Peeling paint from walls, chipped tiles on stairs and grubby. We requested a better room and were shown a sea view room at an extra $USD20 a night. It was marginally better so we took it. The room had obviously not been used recently because it was very dusty (or alternatively had been used recently and cleaned very badly). Worn linoleum on the floor, very worn. The lighting console in 613 had a broken master switch and you had to grope amongst the wiring at the back to switch it off. Shower screen (no bath) sliding metal and glass that was dirty and you had to really push to get it to work. I thought that given the hotel was not crowded, and they must know perfectly well that a big revamp is needed fairly urgently, a free upgrade would have been the right course of action. Breakfast was one of the better Asian buffets we have had. Clean pool, pleasant grounds. Two days before check out we asked for late check out at 5pm and were told the charge was $USD50; again, hotel not fully booked - if you want repeat business then do not charge. Today, because there is a volcanic ash cloud hovering that May delay our flight to Perth, we asked reception about extra nights if necessary, and whether the late check out fee could be used towards the notional extra night fee. Reception could not find a request for a late check out and we abandoned the hotel in disgust then, leaving at 3pm. Earlier in the day I rang reception to ask them about contacting Garuda, the number, and also the international code for Australia - very unhelpful. As I write this at the airport, I have no idea if we are flying tonight, but either way we will not be staying at this hotel again. Mean of spirit. Great staff but obviously under direction from the owners - the Indonesian government.

Stayed for a week with my wife in Sanur Beach hotel which was recommended by Dial-a-Flight who arranged our holiday. We are 50's and 60's and we really appreciated the peace and calm of this part of the island which is very different to the more lively parts of Kuta. The whole experience was utterly magical, with peaceful gamelan music drifting over the exotic gardens with quiet pools and beautiful plantations. The staff were utterly delightful, friendly and courteous and clearly enjoying their work. The sea view room was spacious with an enormous bed and superb bathroom. We liked the quite shabby exterior and signs of wear and tear - so much more preferable to the sparkling pristine hygienic characterless modern hotels in the area. Food was good, though wine very pricey. The local Bintang beer excellent. Would definitely return!!

Room Tip: Choose a sea view garden room

When we arrived - was dark - and we didn't actually realize where are we. The streets of Sanur looked dirty and a little deserted. We found a restaurant where people were dancing and danced with them. In the morning though we found ourselves in the most beautiful garden we've ever seen! Full with colorful flowers and green trees, palm trees and little sculptured monsters, decorated also with flowers, scarfs and umbrellas, We had a delicious breakfast near the sea in this heavenly garden under the sounds of strange music - two people we playing it for us. I really think the gardens of this hotel are the gardens of Eden! It is right on the beach and has everything you need. And the authentic look - it is not brand new or pretentious but it is luxurious in it's classy way. We recommend! The only reason why I don't rate it as Excellent, is personal - I spent 3 days in bed because of the "Bali-Belly" virus, which I think I got from a local restaurant - not from the hotel's food. But, aside from my own bad memory, the hotel is excellent. We were there in December 2012.

Room Tip: I would've preferred a sea view, but this room was facing the garden and was also very beautiful...
