“Expensive”
Reviewed 4 September 2007

Cons:
Expensive! Away from the shops & restaurants, but they have free shuttle to take you to anywhere you want to go in Sanur, but they'll only drop you off and if you want to get picked up then you would need to call. Most restaurants will call the hotel and order a shuttle for you, that is if you ate there.

Pros:
Clean, Nice, great for family, private.

I stayed in a 2 bedroom villas which consists of:
outdoor living room, private jacuzzi, 1 master bedroom w/ 1 queen bed & 1 master bathroom, 1 standard room with 2 single beds and 1 bathroom.

When you first walk into the hotel rooms, you would definitely fall in love with the place. You get your own jacuzzi, the room is big, and your kids are only a door away. The only thing that was questionable was our master bathroom was outside. It's a bit weird although, you still get a bit of a privacy when you do your business.

It's definitely expensive but if you can afford couple nights of luxury then I say go for it!

I loved this resort and we holidayed for over a month - our longest holiday ever!
The resort is small and intimate -only 18 villas- no children seemed evident.
The plunge pool (you get your very own private one) was huge and bigger than most backyard swimming pools.
Your courtyard is entirely private - great for sunbathing on the lounger and the outside shower was a bonus and hot!
The bed was one of the most comfortable on our whole stay away.
This was our most expensive accommodation while we were away but we had used timeshare exchanges.
Considering Bali / thailand are cheap we thought it was excellent value and the luxury we had we could not afford else where.
We only stayed 2 nights and If I were to go back to Bali again I would stay here at least a week.
It was heavenly.

We have just spent a week staying at these villas. We had a villa with the 5m x 3m (approx) plunge pool and enjoyed being able to take a dip whenever we pleased. The grounds and central pool which boasts waterfalls and rock pools are beautiful. We were so impressed that we nominated the gardener as the employee we wanted acknowledged by the hotel this month. The staff, as always were friendly and helpful and our room was always kept to a high standard of cleanliness. For us a few changes would improve the overall experience even more. We would love to see some steps put in the plunge pools to make entry less of a splashing affair. We also would like to see a better choice of tv channels as most were either in indonesian or japanese. The inclusion of a dvd and cd player would also be great - having some music playing was what we missed in our beautiful private courtyard. Finally, making the indoor bathroom more private, (it is very open, especially if you have room service or guests visit when you are using the bathroom) would be a great improvement. Overall this was a lovely week and I would recommend these villas in Sanur if you are looking to get away from the bigger hotels.

  • Liked — Its private plunge pool and courtyard.
  • Disliked — The lack of privacy in the indoor bathroom.
  • Tips/Secrets — Hire or bring a cd player to use in your villa.

We got married on the 18th of august 2006 and went to Bali for our Honeymoon. We booked a trip that would take us to Kuta for 5 days, Ubud for 4 days and Sanur for 8 days.
Our hotel in, Parigata Villa's in Sanur where great!
We had a private pool and jacuzzi and it is so romantic! We had a private diner at out pool which was great, we had lobster and all kind of wonderfull dishes! The main pool iver wonderfull, it was very quit though because there were not many tourists.
Sanur is lovely, many shops and tailors. I have had a handbag, boots and a belt made and my husband had a custom made suit.

The beach is very clean allthough we didn't have enough water to swim due to a wrong moon the people told us. That was true, there was water to our knees and that was it. So no jetski's for us.

There is a great restaurant, these people can cook! It is called Jepun, outside the hotel go to the mainroad and then left, you wil find Jepun on the right side just before the small roundaboud.

Excursions are great, we have done riverrafting, elephantride, jeep safari, mountaibiking, Tanah-Lot temple, monkey forest. The best was riverrafting what a rush!!

Love this hotel and Sanur, would definatly go back!

We're not long back off honeymoon, where we spent an amazing 2 weeks at the Parigatas Villas Resort in Sanur.
We loved the resort and were very sad to leave after our 2 weeks there. The staff are very helpful and friendly, the food delicious and the grounds amazing full of tropical plants and flowers. It has a very private and personal feel to it (only 18 Villas) and is only a 2 minute walk away from Sanur Beach where you'll find the Parigata Beach Club.
We stayed in the Executive Villa which has an outdoor living area, it's own pool with jacuzzi and an outdoor shower. We were impressed with our private plunge pool as it was larger than we expected and had a jacuzzi built in, fantastic after a busy day sightseeing. Inside the villa was well maintained and tastefully decorated with a mosquito net over the bed, essential for someone who gets bitten all to easily!
We managed to also have a look in one of the standard villas and found them to be smaller versions of our villa with the exception of no outside living area and just a jacuzzi instead of a plunge pool, but if you're on a smaller budget they are excellent value for money.
The main pool area was beautiful and had a poolside bar that served an array of drinks and snacks. Breakfast was of a good standard with plenty to chose from and is served in an outside dining area overlooking the gardens.
There are plenty of good restaurant near the villas, our favourite was Casa Luna, the food and service exceptional and they have Balinese dancing on certain nights of the week.

Parigata villas was our last destination after the Rama beach resort in Kuta and the Tjampuhan hotel & spa in Ubud and by far the best place to stay.

The resort is fairly new and the grounds are lovely and green. Each suite resembling a small Balinese-style villa has its own private pool which is quite large for a so-called plunge pool, and there is also a large resort pool which we didn't use as we loved the privacy of our own pool.

Food quality is o.k. and breakfast can be delivered to your suite so you can enjoy it in the intimacy of your own villa. Staff are extremely friendly and helpful.

This is definitely a great place to stay for those who'd rather stay at smaller, intimate resorts than at the standard 100-rooms or more resort-chains. It is a very romantic and private place so I'd definitely recommend Parigata villas.
