“Great place to stay”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 20 August 2010

We have just had 11 nights in a 1 bedroom garden villa. Booked direct with the hotel and paid 700,000 IRP per night (AUD $88). Payment only required upon arrival with no deposit.

Got hotel pick up from Airport 150K and then also return 100K. No problems. Hotel driver waiting on arrival.

This hotel is small but suited us fine. Got to know the other guests which made it a bit more personal rather than the large resorts. It is located in a great part of Sanur. Turn right to beach abount 2 min. walk with great resturants on the beach or left to main street with lots more. The lane could do with an upgrade but hey it car'nt all be perfect.

Breakfast was good with eggs cooked to order. Only cereal was cornflakes but Ok with us.

2 pools one smaller plunge pool well shaded in the afternoon and the larger pool big enough to do laps. No problems with plenty of sunlounges.

We had a 1 bedroom garden apartment which was great. No noise and very private. Did not really use the outdoor garden area so next time would probable get a delux room.

All in all a great place to stay

Stayed 4 nights, room is average size but found it a bit on the small side. Needs a refurb! Bathroom very drab and tired looking. All rooms have balconies but with straight chairs which are not very good for lounging on and reading etc. Breakfast however was very good and an excellent selection. The grounds and pools are clean and in nice surrounding! A little noisy with construction work directly behind our room and on one night this was going on well after 9pm. Also loud music obviously coming from another hotel next door. Close to restaurants and shopping! Offer free wireless internet but found it impossible to connect whereas every where else we stayed we had no problems! Would be very nice if they fix the rooms.

Hi, my review is a bit late, I stayed in August 2009 and tried to book again for August 2010 but left it too late and am very disappointed. However I would highly recomend this hotel to any traveller, unless of course you expect 6 star accomodation. I stayed in a large upstairs 1 bedroom apartment/room, just outside the small 2nd pool (see my pic)on the laneway side. The room was very clean, very well furnished and very comfortable. No problems whatsoever, breakfast by the pool was very good with a great variety on offer, all inlcuded in room price, last year it was about $50AU a night, a bargain compared with other places nearby which are well known, expensive but crowded and outdated. A short walk down the laneway to the beach or the opposite was to the shopping/restaurant strip. Will be back.

I had the twin double making it a great value. The other rooms may not be a value option. This is nice small B&B just steps from the beach!! Large pool and small pool (plus a private pool for the grand suite). Nice free breakfast included (with hot made to order omelets). The place is clean and maintained.

However, Kuta is a much better place for beach activity, business, and nightlife. Legian/Kuta is better for singles. You can always find a place just steps from the Legian/Kuta that will provide some quietness while remaining connected to activities. I highly recommend Pro-Surf school for surf lessons.

I left my board shorts out to dry by the kids area. I checked out and flew home when I discovered I forgot my board shorts. I called the hotel several times, and no could find the board shorts hanging in the kids area. I quite upset about it.

Very good value for money.
We stayed in Emerald Loft Suit - it was big, clean, right next to the pool, but with enough privacy.

Unfortunately I can not agree with the others that this hotel is perfectly located. The road to the beach is very bad and the so called 'private beach' is awful, it is more a market for local people than the place where you can relax and enjoy the sea.
There are plenty of hotels in Sanur which are beach-front, we were a bit upset that we did not search deeper for one of them.

The service is acceptable, until you start asking them for something :)

My husband and I stayed in a double room for 12 nights. This was perfect for us. It was easy to walk everywhere from here. The staff were ever so friendly and the breakfast was more than enough. The rooms where clean. And we had an outside bathroom, which was fabulous. There is also a massage service on sight, which was more than comparable rates, and she was very good.

The other bonus about this place was the friendliness of the other guests. We met and conversed with alot of other guests which made it all the more enjoyable. Everyone had a smile on there face, which i discovered wasn't a common occurence in the larger/flash hotels.

One word of advise, bring a pocket torch, there can be the occasional black out which makes it hard to walk down the alley, and organise for them to pick you up from the airport. Personally its not the easest place to find, if you dont' know where you are going. But besides that... we'll be coming back for sure!!!
