“Delux Rooms GR8- Breakfast not so good”
Reviewed 12 September 2013

Great location, approx. 100mtrs from Hardys. This was our 2nd stay in a delux room. I recommend paying the extra for the Delux.
The rooms are at the rear of the property & are very large & clean with a medium flat screen TV. There is also a separate dressing room with lots of storage. Each room has a balcony that looks over the largest of the 3 pools. This pool has a swim up bar with the cheapest Bintang I have found in any Bali Hotel ( 26000 for a Large Bottle )
I would recommend booking WITHOUT breakfast as it is very poor. I also do not recommend eating at their separate Restaurant on the main road.
I will return.

I recently stayed in a new deluxe room at Swastika Bungalows and was very impressed. The rooms are of a good size. It was very handy having a kettle in the room. The beds were extremely comfortable and the bathroom was pristine. Having stayed at this hotel for over 20 years in the older style rooms it was well worth paying a few extra dollars to upgrade to the deluxe rooms. As usual, the staff were super friendly and always eager to please. Yet another fantastic Bali holiday!

I love this hotel! We stayed at this hotel around 20 years ago and couldn't resist booking it again for our holiday this year. We were not disappointed. Our rooms were in need of a little tlc, but the staff are so amazing that it was a very small complaint! The staff are all extremely happy, friendly and helpful - nothing is too much for them. The pools are great - three to choose from and the location in Sanur is central too.
Breakfast has a great choice of food and my daughters loved the chocolate sauce artist!!
Only downside was some of the older guests who didn't appreciate the girls jumping in the swimming pool - oh well, they need to loosen up :0)
Can't wait to stay there again!!

Stayed there in July for 5 nights with 25 year old daughter. Nice location just on Jalan Tamblingan near Hardy's. Short walk down driveway to reception. Several two story apartment blocks with 3 pools. We were in the deluxe at the back of the property, got lost on the first morning but then realised that there were signs. Never seemed crowded and lots of pool lounges. Had a large room with lovely balcony on the second floor. Bathroom plain but clean and functional. Nice vanity and sink in entrance to room. No in-room safe but you can leave your valuables at reception. Very comfortable beds/pillows and there were lots of power-points for charging all our electronics. Deluxe rooms have jugs/cups/tea/coffee. We also had a small fridge. Wifi was spasmodic even with 6 hotspots on the property, worked on the balcony and in the room at times. Good wifi at reception and most of the restaurants have free wifi now so not so much as issue. Breakfast was simple but adequate and there is spa onsite with reasonable prices. Was looking for accommodation closer to the beach but this hotel is a short walk along the lane just across the road. Staff are very friendly and they supplied a fruit cake (fruit on stand) for my daughters birthday. Would certainly recommend and stay there again.

Swastika Hotel Sanur. Spend 2 nights as a hub to travel out to Nusa Penida, Location is good with easy access to restaurants and massages. Staff were friendly but room smells, bed was hard, sheet smells. Sleeping quality was quite bad. Don't really feel safe with the front door lock as although it's locked, people can still peep through it. If you're spending a night as a hub, guess it's okay, but if you're spending as a holiday resort? not a good idea.

We had a one night stopover here between transfers and it was great for our needs. Clean and quiet with lovely gardens. Helpful staff and good value. Would recommend for a short stay. Nice free breakfast and good location close to shops.

I was using Swastika and Sanur as a hub to travel out to other places, so I didn't really choose it as a holiday resort. Having said that, the hotel was great value for money and surprisingly quiet for being set in a busy and sometimes noisy area. The staff were really friendly and helpful and the breakfast was fine. I stayed in three different rooms and some were better than others, but they were all huge with massive beds and were clean and cool. Three pools to choose from and a pleasant garden. Unfortunately, Sanur itself didn't really do it for me - too busy and touristy with just an OK beach.
