We come to Bali for a relaxing holiday, and we found just the right place.
Segara was very good, friendly place, and had the Balanise way of life.
Also the gardens and grounds very well cared for
The staff were friendly and always available to assist in any way to
make the holiday enjoyable.

Once again we stayed at the Segara Village Resort. As awlays the rooms, grounds and the friendly staff made for a very enjoyable holiday.

Segara is in Sanur - a total contrast to Kuta - much more relayed and and laid back. Scenery, especially the sunrises are worth getting up for..

Breakfast and food was exceptional - great quality and value for money.

The gardens are a photographers delight - orchids, water lillies...

Room Tip: 114 and 115 are large and spacious - especially good for people in a wheel chair or disabled.. Aso c...

I spent some time researching which hotel to stay in at Sanur - and I don't think this was a great choice. It started with the room: it was a small bedroom and bathroom above a small, dark outside seating area. It felt cramped and there was very little storage space. Next, the breakfasts. OK would sum it up - adequate but nothing special. Around the resort, the pools disappoint. Both have lots of underwater dividers and seating that cuts down the room to swim. As a result, both feel cramped and full unless you swim to avoid the crowds. Overall, there was a pretty uncaring feel about the place. With a few, much appreciated exceptions, the staff were not particularly friendly or helpful. It felt very "tip hungry" and heavy on pricing, especially in the bar. Lots of the basics were wrong: room servicing was erratic, general service was hit and miss, the smell in our bathroom was never fixed and the reception area seemed to have more than its share of complainants when we passed by. However, my main issue was that it fell short on the promise of somewhere to relax and unwind. Firstly, there was limited space to relax, even outside peak season. Secondly, the place was noisy, partly high numbers of children, but also music playing through all through the main areas and lots of bustle and banging around. It didn't stack up with the picture presented through the hotel website or our expectations of Sanur. It must be possible to stay somewhere better than this for the price and I would not recommend.

We picked this hotel from tripadvisor originally wanted girya santrian.
After paying an extra $170 we upgraded to a bungalow as cottage bedroom was very small.
This room was great big area on patio with daybed but now its $180 per night to me thats expensive
breakfast was bland and cold bacon was nasty strong tasting. We tried room service food was very plain compared to street cafes and we had very tiny ants in room.
Grounds lovely as were staff.
Spa was excellent and very well priced. My last holiday here we stayed at padma legion i would have to say the padma was the best hotel of my 8 stays in bali.

It was the first hotel we stayed in, staff was very friendly, the 'le pirate restaurant' and the 'birdhouse' were very good, we had the beachfrontbbq twice. Drinks and food overall were very good, two nice pools with shade and sun. The garden of the hotel was very beautifull.
This hotel was our number one for the hotel itself and its design. I would love to go back there someday.

We didn't make a previous booking when coming to Sanur as we wanted to ensure that our stay was going to be just right. We were looking for a lovely garden setting, good pool areas with chairs and shade and not a large hotel experience. We actually looked at 5 resorts along the beachfront at Sanur and ended up booking into the Segara. The bungalows are a nice size and whilst quite basic in their fitout are very comfortable. The gardens and pool areas are stunning and are by far the best part of this resort. After having had an amazing experience in Ubud we were a little dissapointed with the service here. Unlike the rest of our Bali experience, the Segara staff were a little less interested and lacked that amazing Bali warmth and passion for sharing wonderfull service. There were a few issues around the resort - the safe in our room was actually just sitting in a cupboard - as in we could lift it out and actually take it away - not very safe! The bathroom cabinet was also coming off the wall! The 'markets' along the beachfront outside the Resort are good and provide some really nice and cheap eating options and some good massage options. Overall, even with some of the not ideal issues, I would still highly reccomend the Segara as the location and facilities make it a very relaxing and enjoyable holiday option.

Room Tip: Definately take a bungalow room as a minimum for the value and extra space.

If you are looking for a truly relaxing and tranquil holiday destination you must stay at Segara Village Hotel in Sanur. The service and the staff at the hotel is nothing short of absolutely five star... My sister and I come here every year and have done for the past four years and this hotel is always consistantly professional . If you are looking for something to do either within Sanur or perhaps a Bali experience you must see the best guest liasison co ordinator in the viallge which is Suryati. Highly recommend....

Room Tip: No tip all rooms are very good
