Owner description: Saraswati temple Kingdom of Ubud is dedicated to honor the Hindu Goddess Saraswati, the goddess of learning, literature and art. This temple is very beautiful and artistic, so many tourists who come to see its charm, but for purposes of worship. Pura Taman Saraswati has a water garden and lotus pond at the center of its attraction as a tourist attraction. This temple is decorated with so many fine carvings and inside there Padmasana shrine located in the northeast, but it also contained bale barong, giant masks, statues of Goddess Saraswati and the statue of the devil Jero Gede Mecaling as high as 3 meters in front of the temple.

The temple surrounded by lilies is beautiful. This is in the centre of town & is well worth the visit. We did not get to go inside as there was a royal wedding on during the week we were in Ubud but we do not feel like we missed out as the outside was stunning.

Very nice location for a temple, smack dab in the middle of town. Couldn't ask for anything better...... except being right next to a Starbucks! It look a little of the mystic away.

Small and beautiful, can be missed easily given that it's commercialised and hidden by a restaurant in the front (seen this quiet a lot across temples in Bali, not sure why). Seems favourite with local kids, they fish in the ponds and the water garden. I found this place a must see, the statute of Goddess Saraswati, who bestows education and intelligence, beautifully portrayed, tucked in a corner, cannot miss this in white and gold. The orchids and adenium bonsai are a plus and beautify the place.

An hour or less is enough to go around. The traffic of Ubud will take a lot of time for you to reach the place. At the entrance, people sell tickets, but that's not for entering the temple but for the dance performance in the evenings. So, watch out.

The sad part is the temple is abused, cigarette butts and empty beer bottles thrown around. This is not good, request tourists to maintain the decorum of the temple and disturb sentiments of the believers, I felt bad and disturbed.
