“Book in advance!”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 13 August 2014

We really enjoyed our stay at Jati3 as the rooms were clean and tidy and the location was perfect - right in the heart of the action. The service is mixed and we asked to stay another night and this had been confirmed. The following day they had overbooked - then it was all abit of a mess. Also lots of building work going on around.

Jati 3 Bungalows is a worth a stay when coming to Ubud. We stayed there for 3 nights in July 2014 and generally enjoyed it. It's excellently located close to Ubuds "city center" and just a 10min walk from the sacred monkey forrest as well as to the market square. Close by are many nice and good restaurants and bars. If you are looking for the best place to dine, check out "Cafe Wayan & Bakery"!!

The included breakfast at Jati 3 is okay, nothing fancy but their banana pancakes are really good. The pool area is small but very nice.

Unfortunately they were renovating/ building a new room-complex at the moment we were there and the construction site was really loud in the morning from the room we were in first. We booked the standard room. However, after talking to the receptionist he upgraded us to a deluxe room which is located next to a small river, facing the jungle, where it was really quiet and much much nicer than in the upper are of the hotel. We stayed at the ground floor in the deluxe room building facing the jungle and can really recommend it if you are thinking about staying at Jati 3.

Room Tip: totally worth going for the deluxe room, it's much more quite, nicer and more private.

Right in the very heart of Ubud rests this pretty and private hideaway down a long and narrow alley. The highlight of our room was the jungle-covered setting for the balcony that hung over a small river. The beds were enormous and comfy; the room was spacious and quiet.

Room Tip: Be sure ti ask for a rear balcony!

We stayed in Jati 3 for two nights. We loved the location! The room was fairly clean and the bathroom was fine. Our room had a patio facing the jungle which was lovely. Our complaint was that the credit card machine did not work, and we were forced to get cash to pay our bill. We tried three different cards and it was a very frustrating experience. Other than than that, if you are looking for an inexpensive place in Ubud this is a good spot

This place is poorly maintained and have seen better days.

Booked a pricier family room after having stayed at a cheaper Homestay for 4days.
We were given a room right at the basement.
Smelt bad and was damp all the time.
The pillows stank. And the room was musky perpetually.
Terrible. It's a crime to charge this much money for such a bad room!

I stayed for 3 days here. Standard room was fine, fairly clean, although close to breakfast area. Luckily I do wake up early as some people chose to speak loudly to each other at breakfast and had no consideration for others. The bed mattress was foam, not really a proper mattress. Nice pool. Construction happening both sides of property. I do not hang around the hotel much during the day so no problem. Pancakes were good. Did find better value accommodation for same price which I would prefer to use next time.

The location of the hotel is excellent as it is in the middle of Monkey Forest Street, but just off enough that you do not get too much noise from the street.

However, the photos made the accommodation look much nicer than it actually is. Staff weren't too helpful and the rooms were quite dirty and they avoided cleaning the bathroom each day. We had to consistently ask for new towels and toilet paper.

They advertise that they offer taxis and tours but there was no information. We kind of had to just go by word of mouth from their staff.

Nice pool, location was good but there are much nicer places to stay in Ubud.
