“What a beautiful choice”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 25 May 2014

What do you want more than that?
Beautiful room, comfortable bad, big bathtub (perfect for 2), balcony with view on the rice fields, awesome swimmingpool, superquiet even if so central in Ubud... (3 minutes to Monkey Forest, 3 minutes to Yoga barn).
Prices are reasonable.
They hire scooter, do your laundry, very nice staff, very helpful.
I will be back here again and again and again etc.
The only thing i would suggest is to change the shower heads in the shower... or increase a bit the water pressure. After a day of yoga it would be nice to have a nice shower, but maybe is a bit of a Bali problem.
Great stay... perfect for a couple as well!

most of the rooms here are in the modern building (photo above) but i had attractive room 9, upstairs in what appears to be an old house. a large room, large bath, balcony, and traditional balinese paintings decorate the ends of the high ceiling. breakfast not too exciting--though you might want to try the toasted banana sandwich--but brought to your room. the pool is lovely, overlooking the rice fields. nice staff and a convenient location with handsome guardian figures and a friend Ganesha.

Room Tip: for traditionalists, room 9

Right in the heart of Ubud town centre. Friendly staff, lovely balinese breakfast brought to your room each morning, terrific pool overlooking rice fields and very good value for money. And only two minute walk to the Monkey Forest.

My husband and I paid AUD $50 a night to stay here for our first 5 nights in Bali and we loved our time there. We had a second floor room and (as previous reviews mention), the views are gorgeous and the pool is delightful after a long day on foot wandering around Ubud. After travelling around Bali for a while now and hearing where other people have stayed in Ubud I feel the price may still be a touch too high though, as, despite being modern, our room was still a little on the 'tired' and unfinished side (bathroom concrete patchy, shower flooded, bit cheaply done etc) ...... But it was very clean and the atmosphere around the buildings and the staff service and the view for breakfast is definitly top notch. Jetstar manged to lose my luggage (surprise surprise lol) so I felt a little panicked and upset as the days went on, but the staff let me call the airport every morning from down in the lobby and offered advice and smiles, and by day 3 were delighted to inform me that my suitcase had been found and was getting transported up to the hotel from the airport and will be here by 6pm. I was overjoyed. The lovely staff make the place a perfect little paradise that I would recommend :-)

Room Tip: As mentioned in other reviews, the second floor rooms have the lovely view of the rice fields and th...

This place is a hidden gem conveniently located on Monkey Forest road. From the outside it doesn't look much but as soon as you step inside the hotel compound (past Ganesh) you discover a little piece of paradise. The building is modern, super clean and upstairs rooms have a beautiful rice padi view overlooking the pool and mountains. Staff are really nice always smiling and were more than happy help with any enquiry. Best thing was the price. I literally search high and low for a hotel that 'had it all' at a fraction of the price of other hotels that weren't nearly as nice. I couldn't recommend it enough.

Wonderful experience. Staffs friendly and helpful. Well located. Room clean and big. Limited tv program and DVD not clear though. A little concern with security too. Other than that, value for money and will definitely be back. Love the pool!

I stayed 3 weeks at Nyoman Karsa in ubud, Bali. It felt like home immediately. The staff was exceptional, supportive and heart-driven. Breakfasts on my balcony overlooking the rice fields, forests and volcanoes were nourishing, varied and delivered with a smile and friendly conversation. I could not have been happier here and I had 3 weeks to observe other places. The a/c at night offered a reprieve from the warmth of the day. Ask for room 7 for some late afternoon shade plus perfect views. At the least, ask for the newer building. I loved the second floor views. The pool is also beautiful. Mostly, the staff is what made it perfect. Would stay here again.
