“Can't wait to go back!”

We had a full week stay with the Jati Homestay. The room is quiet, clean, and perfect for settling into a relaxing holiday. The porch area overlooks a rice field and is great for yoga or reading. It's also nice to fall asleep at night to the sounds of nature and not street traffic.

It's only a two minute walk to the main street of Ubud for shopping and eating. Dewa and the staff do an excellent job at arranging tours for you and are always friendly and offering help. Breakfast was always satisfying and the conversation was always entertaining. Internet is free to use if you have a laptop and there is a water cooler available for your use. It's a homestay and you really are made to feel part of the home. It's a true Bali experience and not an over-westernized tourist hotel. If you really want to feel like you belong in Bali, Jati Homestay is a great way to start.

We made our reservations with Jati Home Stay over the internet but also telephoned to confirm our reservation. Since my husband speaks fluent Indonesian we were confident that they understood when we were arriving. We had paperwork in hand with confirmation numbers. When we arrived, we were told that they did not have a room for us. We had traveled for three days, arrived late at night and NO ROOM!! We heard similar stories once we arrived. Jati will book reservations even if they don't have room, then pawn you off to one of their friends where you will end up staying in a sub-par room not of your choosing. I would NEVER recommend Jati Home Stay until they clean up their business practices and quit over-booking.

My family arrived at Denpasar airport at 0:30AM, we were afraid of no picking up, but we have been picked up, they were waiting for us around 2 hours in rainning. The first impression: the room is large, tidy, clean, we have enjoyed it, really value of money. The second impression: the view is good with smart arrangement of trees and decoration. The third: We have been served with prompt service, smiling friendly staffs and good information provided. Last but not least: We have also enjoyed our trip with private tour provided by Jati Home Stay, Mr. Dewa. He is really a good tour guide with helpful and neccessary information such as Bali's culture, religion, sight-seeings, as well as the way to spend your money effectively....

The location was in the center of Ubud, but it took about 15-20 mins to reach Jalan raya Ubud or Jalan Monkey Forest or to Perama shuttle bus.

Love the view from my room. Paddy's field, sound of birds, very relaxing. I could sit in my terrace doing nothing, just feeling the nature. The room was quite big with 1 double bed and a single bed. The complimentary breakfast was very nice with a view to paddy's field.

The bathroom was ok, but i found a lot of ants in my bath tub area and it comes more in the morning. I don't know where it came from. The curtain was a little dirty too, there was a bunch of dust and spider web.

Overall, it was a very relaxing and calm stay in Jati homestay. It worth the price. But it would be really nice if the owner pay attention to the cleanness of the room.

We arrived at Jati very late and Dewa was there waiting for us at the restaurant. He is very friendly. The family room given to us was spacious. It was clean and the bathroom was clean as well. We enjoyed the view of the padi field. The breakfast was good. I also met Jati, the artist. Jati is very friendly when I strolled into his gallery, he greeted me with a warm welcome. But we had to leave for our tour. Anyway we came back to him again in the next day, He was painting then. He then explained to us about his various paintings. They were very beautiful. We loved relaxing at the porch, eating the salak gula while my husband had his beer. It is very quiet at night. Walk out of Jati and turn right. You will be greeted by a man selling tickets for the Kecak for IDR27,000. The show starts at 8.30pm. Jati is easily accessible to many places if you are able to walk. Anyway, Dewa also provides tour at reasonable charges. Mostly the tour guides there charges about USD40 per pax but Dewa charges by the day. It is cheaper this way. When you booked Jati homestay, make sure that you booked Dewa too so you won't miss the interesting places.

Being located away from the street (but still in the centre of Ubud) and surrounded by rice terraces made our stay at Jati's very relaxing. Big beds and complimentary breakfast - also big plus!!! The only problem was the wi-fi connection - very very slow. Other than that we've had a nice stay!

Jati Home Stay is really a nice place to stay, you can get the best sarvice with an affordable price. This place is just suitable for people like us, budget traveler.
There is a 24 hours mart just beside the Home Stay, so we're not worry of getting any food and drinks at midnight.
I really like the Balinese style breakfast is delicious, the tropical fruits with lime is just nice. We just sit outside the room and relax with the nice view of rice terrace.
Dewa, tour guide & Lamon, the cute and helpful tour driver, make our trip in Bali!
