Its a little while ago now but we had a terrific dinner here. I've been eating satay all around Asia since I was 2 years old and Bumbu Bali's take on satay was unique and very tasty. They made some great cocktails too!

My friends and i had our dinner here. basically, everything was ok. Especially the Nasi Tuna Sambal Matah. Its a deliciously unique meals. But there was a minor tolerable disappointment; my friend ordered lemongrass tea, but they came up with ordinary java tea. I hope, they could be more careful and attentive next time.

Maybe this place is better at night with more atmosphere created with lighting etc but it seemed little more than a pretty ordinary cafe. We did see others having a cooking lesson which they looked like they were enjoying. Ordered an avocado dip which was inedible as it was so hot spicy (and we like spicy food!). Fruit drinks were nice. We had sought it out as people we met had been to another Bumbu Bali somewhere and raved about it.

We did a cooking classes at this restaurant and it was really worth it. You start with a morning visit to the local market and then prepare at least 5 different balinese meals with very good explanations from the chef.
