Fantastic place that is so cheap. Great people watching on groovy Jalan Gootama. Sate Tempe is delicious! Best at night.

“best place to eat on a budget”
Reviewed 21 April 2014

We found it difficult to find reasonably priced places to eat in Ubud - it was all a bit pricey for us. We were therefore ecstatic when we were told about this place by some other fellow travellers. Food is very cheap for the standard you receive. We ended up eating here on several occasions during our short stay.
Also a very good place for meeting people due to the long tables. Don't expect an intimate meal for 2, you will be sitting on a table with lots of other people. This makes for an interesting and sociable meal.
I have recommended this place to my friends and would go back again if I got the chance.

“Love it except for the pretentious tourists!”
Reviewed 21 March 2014

I love eating and finding fantabulous places to eat. At times, tourists ruin the experience for me due to their obnoxiousness. However, the food is clean and lovely and the servers are friendly. Turmeric drink and eggplant curry are delish! A CAVEAT: This is not a place to use the bathroom or if you want to rough it out, go for it!

“Cheap”
Reviewed 17 February 2014

We waited 30 mins just for drinks to be served, food (when it eventually arrived) was very average, and the place was crawling with bugs. Very cheap though!

“Great food for a great price”
Reviewed 30 January 2014

During our 3-night stay in Ubud we had dinner or lunch in Dewa Warung every single day. We loved the traditional food and the ambiance. Every visit we sat at a large table with other people, which is a great way to meet people and spend your evening playing cards.
The food might take a little longer but it's all very fresh. At lunchtime we saw the cook peeling the ginger and preparing other fresh herbs and spices in the restaurant. The dishes are delicious and very traditional. Our all time favourites were mie goreng and chicken satay, but we liked to try something else every time and it was all just as good.

It's a must visit and we prefered it over all the other touristy restaurants in Ubud.
