We have been there for the best 3 weeks in our last 10 years. Yoni and also Gerhard have been very friendly over the whole time. The Personal, two boys and a woman were always friendly and helpfull, always from the right distance. We have had in alle the days never a problem.
The breakfast, we ordert between 6.00 and 10.00, was always perfect with fresh fruits and i think they have 10 variantes. Qur pool has the perfect, clear water, you feel swimming in the middle aof the rice-terasses. All trip advising from Gerhard and Yoni are true, perfect to do and never to hard for us. Our motor bike (50m³ Roller)tours to the famous places in bali gave us the rignht feeling from the islands and the balinese people. In the early morning on the Ubud Market or in the late night after a balines dance, we have had no problems. Also no problems with the health. We both feel better then at home in Gemany. sorry about my english
internet and telefon no problems. a very good hotel resteraunt is only 50 m around the corner there are also several lokations with balinese and japanese food in a 500m range.

Room Tip: there are no bad rooms

If you're looking for a space of pure tranquility, relaxation and peace, this is for you!

The Villas are run by Rick and Lita Pursell who are most welcoming and helpful. They were wonderful hosts, available with helpful suggestions to ensure you get a full experience of the area, people and culture!

I cannot say enough about the staff, who were wonderful, friendly and so helpful! The villas private staff are on hand to cook meals fresh to order and help with any questions or requests. Because the food is made fresh to order there is a lot of great local fresh produce used that ensures great meals!
The House Manager, Putu, is wonderful! Very friendly and able to assist with any queries, which provided even more ease and comfort to our stay there.
The staff also had many great suggestions of activities to do while in and around the Ubud area and were able to organise day trips and activities upon request.
The Villa has its own driver who is available upon request to provide transport into town and to any organised activities.
The service provided by all staff at the villas was excellent!!

Orchid Villa is situated about a 20 minute drive north of Ubud town, and this meant being able to enjoy the sites and sounds, and retreat back to the Villas and the privacy of the rooms, five in total, and facilities, including a pool overlooking the valley at the back of the property. The surrounding area provides views of mountain peaks and rice paddies, and the villas are situated just above a flowing river below.

Each separate room is spacious and private and caters for up to two people. Each has private shower areas, designed in line with the tranquil, peaceful ambiance that the villas promote.

Having heard many different accounts of Bali, I was a little apprehensive about traveling there. However, the experience of staying at Orchid Villas has definitely made me want to visit Bali, and indeed Ubud and the villas again!
I would highly recommend Orchid Villa for anyone looking for a haven of peace, tranquility and relaxation. It's a wonderful space within the beautiful natural backdrop of the Ubud area. The only reservation was the amount of flies that emerge around meal times - but this is a minor blip to what is an amazing space and wonderful experience!!

Room Tip: Each room within the villa is fairly private, however if you require absolute privacy there is a roo...

I absolutely loved my time here at Villa Orchid, the owners and staff are really friendly but not overpowering. The location is a little out of town but easy to get to and from with a bike, and what a beautiful drive...I loved it! This is how Ubud used to be many years ago when I first visited Bali. The town itself is busy so it was great to be able to get away from it all and stay somewhere so quiet and, well, beautiful.
I stayed in the Villa Bougainvillea, which is lovely, it has the most amazing views and is very spacious.
Thank you to Gerhard, Yuri and all the staff for a fabulous stay!

Room Tip: Villa Bougainvillea was the nicer in my opinion, larger and great balcony with fantastic views of ri...

We were 2 couples so we booked both of the little houses which are available. Just stayed there for two nights but you can stay a lot longer, ubud is a perfect place for sightseeing. The villa is surounded by rice fields so you feel like in the middle of the nature. Especially if you are at the breakfast or relax in the pool this is very nice.
From the villa you can walk next to the ricefields to ubud within around one hour and that's a lot better than the rice field trips you get offered by tourist operators...
Gerhart also knows a very nice driver, he's called Nyoman and he was driving us for the two days to differnt spots and also explaind a lot of the culture the temples etc. (We've seen a lot of other divers just drop the people to the temples without any explainatoin, so this was very good)
Yuni also prepare very nice breakfast with fresh juice and fresh fruits. She also prepared us once a very nice snack before we left for sight seeing....

Dear travelers,
Vila Orchid was the best place we stood at when traveling 3 weeks in Indonesia. Unfortunately, we had only 3 nights at Vila Orchid, but enjoyed them immensely.
We had a super nice and friendly Service, delicious food, big & clean room and an amazing view while having breakfast or chilling at the pool.
We really appreciated the time we spent there and hope that we can come back soon!
Cheers from Germany :-)

Beautiful grounds; great pool; fabulous location. Gerhard and Yuni are wonderful hosts. Suggest you hire a motorbike if you stay here - only 10 mins by bike to Ubud. Internet a bit patchy - but you shouldn't be using it if you are on holidays.

In July 2013 we have spend a week in the Villa Orchid in Ubud. We got a recommendation from a colleague and it was really very nice. Yuni and all the people really spoilt us.
The whole Villa including the pool and the food was just excellent. While Ubud is sometimes hectical but for sure worth visiting the Villa Orchid ensured a very relaxing week for us.
The hikes through the ricefiels and the tours organized by Yuni were just wonderful and we clearly recommend them to anyone staying there. The thing we will remember for sure are all those noises from the various animals - eg. Frogs, birds, etc.
Thanks again for the womderful time and all the best.

Between the two traditional villages Kelabang moding and Abangan, amidst a tropical garden, our Villa Orchid Bali nestled in an oasis of calm and reflection, 4 km to Ubud. From breakfast - Bale and from the pool, enjoy a wide and unobstructed view of rice terraces, surrounded by coconut palms and slender tree ferns. Swimming in the small river flowing by, and wash it women, men and children as ever, we believe time has stood still. Our Villa Orchid Bali and the two bungalows high standards were first conceived only as a private retreat for family and friends .
