“Still Has it”
Reviewed 12 November 2013

This was my second visit to Sari Organik, 18 months after the first one and I was a bit anxious to see if it was still as good as it was with all the word of mouth and success they've experienced.

On the food side, it was still great, this time I had the Nasi Campur and it was very yummy. The view is still of peaceful and quiet rice fields, that either hasn't changed.

Service was a bit slow to take my order, but again I was admiring the views and didn't call them to take my order.

My only concern for the future is that the area leading to the Warung is being built upon at an alarming rate. Hope it won't become too much urbanized.

“Great food, amazing view”
Reviewed 12 November 2013

Sari Organik is one of the must eat places in Ubud. You have to walk through rice fields to get to it (about 10 minutes to walk) which adds to the experience as you see the workers, the fields and also (sadly) the impact of building onto the rice fields. We had an early lunch and arrived at 11am and got to have the table of our choice. The menu is good and we easily chose our platter of guacamole, Satay and the fruit juices (which were amazing). Service was good too, although if it might suffer in busier periods. The quality of the food was good and the value was brilliant. The view though is what takes this up a notch. Located with a view of the rice fields it just is something else.
Its a great place to escape from packed Ubud and the usual tourist venues and it was probably the highlight, food wise, of that part of our holiday.

“Position watching laborers is awkward, but the food and view is delicious!”
Reviewed 10 November 2013 via mobile

The lovely, short walk through rice fields to get here features stunning views and is a great part of the experience. The restaurant features a similar view, overlooking the fields from a veranda. Unfortunately, that also means we were the white tourists enjoying iced drinks in the shade while watching the locals harvesting rice in 90-degree heat below. At least it helped us appreciate the work required to get the food to our table?

The meal itself was pricey by Ubud standards but not ridiculous, and the food and drinks were delicious and beautifully presented. In particular, the Nasa Campar was far and above the way we usually see this dish -- there were about 7 different items in addition to the rice. The marinated tempeh in curry sauce was also great.

“Worth the drive Worth the walk”
Reviewed 10 November 2013

We headed off from Seminyak with our local friend Aan just after 10 am leaving plenty of time for a bit of sight seeing and photo opportunities along the way Parking just off the road we were offered a motorcycle ride up to Sari Organik Penestanan how ever we all decided to walk. The walk was well worth it plenty of scenery, nice locals along the path however watch out for the bikes these people ride like they own the path{and they do} and you soon learn to get out of there way not visa versa. Now the restaurant staff were not that helpful but they did smile at us a lot, the food and drinks sensational, Drinks we all had Ginger and mint and a rice wine and then I had Balinese chicken salad Sensational all whilst looking over the workers in the rice fields
