“What a great place to spend the lazy ubud afternoons”
Reviewed 26 August 2014

Great for afternoon munchies, but the best in town for Kambucha, forget the "clique" at Alchemy, Sari is the real deal, the owners great and ooohhhhhhh...did i mention the great home made Kambucha, its the best you will ever taste, no bottled rubbish here....this stuff is gold...I made a point of stopping in for a few every day, and even discovered you could take it away in Big bottles lol, i was in heaven...enjoy people.
Best afternoon sunset view in Ubud..hands down.

“Definitely worth the short walk into the ricefields”
Reviewed 24 August 2014

We ate here 3 years ago and enjoyed the visit. The meals are healthy they have their own farm and garden, we enjoy the view over the ricefields. Excellent fruit juices.

“Overrated!”
Reviewed 23 August 2014

I was very exited about trying Sari Organic after reading all the raving reviews. So after a serious walk through the rice paddies, we expected to be having a fabulous lunch and were very disappointed. Since when does organic food need to be bland and mostly raw? My husband ordered a curry cooked in a banana leaf and got a watery soup with some undercooked veggies. I had a vegetarian dish with all different kinds of tofu and tempeh. It was pretty tasteless and I wasn't a fan of the under-processed, rough textured soy products. My 5 year old sons chips were nice though, fried with the peels on and came with a yummie spicy sauce. Unfortunately he is a fussy eater and they could not even provide an ordinary tomato sauce for him. They gave him their homemade sauce, which consisted of roughly chopped unripe tomatoes and onions. Generally the menu didn't cater for children, they had run out of guacamole which he may have liked, so he went without lunch.
The view of the country side and rice paddies is lovely, but we were sitting on a veranda right in the sun and got sunburned. I found the tables were very close together, so it seemed very squashed in there. There was no such thing as a shuttle service, which I saw advertised, which was hard for us as my husband has had a stroke and doesn't walk that well.
I'm not sure how this place gets such fantastic reviews. Are you all green juice drinking hippies? Don't get me wrong I love organic food, I have chickens and a veggie patch at home. But I did not like the raw and weird combinations of food on offer at Sari Organic. Pretty sure you can eat a lovely authentic Indonesian meal, for half the price and with a brilliant rice paddy view in any other warung along that walkway.

“A great place to slow right down to the local pace.”
Reviewed 23 August 2014

If you can find it - worth the try - it is lovely. Beautiful walk on a beautiful day, service was very slow (even for holiday standards) menu was out of a lot of things as it is seasonal but our juices were lovely and fresh with a spectacular view. Can see the attraction for the Yoga set. Would go back for a meal.
