Nice accommodations, very Balinese. The Garden suite is not their best. Can walk to town or the hotel provides transport. Breakfast was included and is delicious. The people are gracious and friendly.

What we enjoyed most was the young man who drove us from the airport and days to follow. His name is Wayan "Mambho". Email: yanmambo@yahoo.com. His 4 year old son Risky kissed our hands as we said goodbye at the airport.

Ubud was fabulous as always. We witnessed a once in fifty years cremation ceremony of a descendant of the Royal Family. Spectacular to see and photograph.

I stayed in a garden suite, the rooms are very dimly lit and the bathroom needs a spruce up. No tea or coffee making facilities in the garden suites, Wi fi free but only available in the public areas. The pool area was beautiful, property seems to be well maintained. D'Omah is well located and an easy 1km walk to town but quite a steep return from town. Free transfers are available, but unless you have an Indonesian sim or international rooming on your phone you won't get the return transfer as you have to call the hotel. The breakfasts were just ok. Fruit and 2 poached eggs. The dinner menu is not substancial but what they provide is good. Especially the sweet pizzas.

Room Tip: Don't book a garden suite. Upgrading would be worthwhile.

I read the reviews on this hotel before I booked and they were all very positive. I have since discovered that there were for the other part of the hotel and not where we had booked so beware! Our room was a good size and that is about as positive as I can be. The bed creaked every time either of us turned, the sheets were clean but were a greyish colour. There was a blanket over the sheet and then another sheet on top of that. The space under the bed had not been swept in a long time which may account for the red ant and the cockroach which were in bed with us one evening. The bathroom consisted of a copper wash basin and one cold tap, a toilet which was lined with something which even my bleach won't move and a dark shower area which looked very uninviting. The water was hot and the shower was a fairly constant temperature. The liquid soap container in the shower is a thin glass bottle and very easy to break if it slips through fingers. The staff did their best to make it better but putting the lights and AC on for us returning at night. They also closed the shutters and turning on the plug in bug killer. The breakfast was good but with a limited choice unless you wanted to pay extra. The manager and staff are very friendly and helpful. When I complained about being kept awake by barking dogs, it was sorted and no dogs barked the following night. We had a late flight and were offered shower facilities before we left as they were fully booked and unable to give us a room. The grounds are lovely and it is peaceful and quiet away from the noise and traffic of Ubud. The swimming pools areas were in need of some upgrading , the chairs and sunbeds have seen better days. We were very glad only to be staying 3 nights.

We stayed in the D'Omah Annex which is the 4 br (+ separate 2 br) house down the lane from the hotel. Beautiful Balinese staff were on hand 24hrs and we were treated like royalty. The house is luxurious, serene and simply stunning. So open and spacious, and each of our 3 children had their own bedroom with ensuite (the size of many European apartments) and they were in heaven. Pool - beautiful, clean and inviting. This house would be fun with a few families. Thanks Made and Kadeck for making our stay so special.

I have been to Bali many, many times and stayed at many places in Ubud - I have fallen in love with this place well and truly. It captures the real essence of Ubud and is a dreamy and relaxing place. My husband and I just stayed in the Chilli verandah suite and it was so wonderful. The outdoor living area was enormous, we had a pool between us and the Lemongrass suite (which my Aunt and Uncle stayed in) which felt private and the courtyard and bathrooms were beautiful. Such a great place for the price. The main pool was a real feature and looked great nestled in the lush gardens. The shuttle bus into town was easy (we had a motorbike, too, which was very easy) and it is only Rp 30,000 to get back to the hotel (about UAD$3.00). The management and staff were welcoming and nothing was too hard for them. It felt like coming home each time we were out and we were sorry to leave. This is the place we will keep returning to time and time again.

Room Tip: The verandah suites are the best, or the villa (this is biased as that is what we have seen)

I stayed at D'Omad Villas for the second time. I stayed there three years ago. I had a garden villa one of the cheapest villas. It was quite good for one person. It would also be suitable for two people. It is a bit out of Ubud, about one kilometer. They have free transport to the Ubud markets on the hour but you get a taxi or walk back. The walk is quite pleasant. It is mostly downhill except for one section that is about fifty meters. They have a restaurant which is new. Breakfast is included but it is a little mean there is a choice of fruit or juice, eggs and toast with tea or coffee. Anything extra is an extra charge. There is a lovely swimming pool although for me Ubud is too cold for swimming at this time of year. The grounds are well kept with lovely gardens. For laundry don't use the one nearest the villas use the one at the top of the hill, it's cheaper and better. It also claims to be environmentally friendly.f

Room Tip: There are more expensive rooms so if you want a bit more luxury you will have to pay more.

We totally enjoyed our 5 night stay at dOmah Bali Hotel. The gardens are delightful and lush, the 3 pool areas relaxing and quiet, the restaurant setting nice and the rooms large, nicely furnished with pleasant verandah areas. It is worth upgrading to a verandah suite as it gives you another area to relax in. Mandy and the staff are friendly, helpful and will do anything for you. The walk into town is about 20 mins or just take the hotel shuttle on the hour. Overall we were really happy with this hotel, location and the beautiful ambience.

Room Tip: Choose a veranda suite....so worth it
