I first stayed at the Beji for only a night in 2013 and fell in love with the surroundings, namely the infinity pool, and was very eager to return when we stayed again in Feb 2014 for 5 nights. However our experience this time round was not as nice. We stayed in a Lumbung family Villa/Bungalo , and Im sure all the other rooms are nice but our main problems with this room were the fact that the staff hung out right below/next to our windows, being loud, shouting and laughing and banging things around from before 7am, waking us and my 3 year old daughter every morning. The 'shower' in the bathroom is hardly functional, despite the fact that it is more of a 'sit down' shower (it doesnt hang on the wall, its more of an extension off the bath tap) , this would be fine but the water pressure was unacceptable, only getting a dribble of water out of it which was either scolding hot or freezing cold, changing every thirty seconds or so no matter what direction you had moved the mixer.Toilet doesnt flush properly..quite embarrasing. the bathroom is an 'open bathroom' meaning the walls dont go to the ceiling so you need to keep the door shut at all times or the whole place fills withs mozzies, this is fine but the cleaners come daily and leave it wide open when they leave so theres constantly mosquitos in the bedroom areas....bathroom light bulb blew on our last night there, had to shower by the light of our phone. didnt ask for this to be fixed simply because it was our last night there and ahd already made 2 requests that day to which they had seemed a bit reluctant to do.....had a phonecall on our first night at 2am asking if we were checking out?

I was disapointed by the Infinity Pool that I had essentially returned for..you used to be able to look out from the pool over the valley but they have let all the plants grow up right against the pool so it blocks any visability and view and essentially acts as a wall of greenery.

Buffet breakfast was always stone cold (we got there for breakfast at about 8:30am , im sure its nice as soon as they bring it out but made no effort to keep it warm) and had to request that our meals be microwaved every day. other food on the menu is nice but quite overpriced, close to australian prices, so didnt 'eat in' once besides ordering room service on the last night (french fries-serving was less than that of a Mcdonalds small chips , but cost a little bit more) .

One night I needed a screwdriver to fix something that I had purchased during the day, so I asked if I could borrow one from the hotel (strange request I know) , to which I was told that "the hotels' screwdriver had been broken"...sounds like a petty complaint but it was just 'another' thing

Room price was reasonable I guess, But if you stay there, please dont stay in a bungalo and dont go on a budget trip as you will need to pay for taxis to and from the hotel to get anywhere although they do offer a shuttle but not at very convenient times. The area truly is beautiful and would be good for a romantic couples trip perhaps. Sorry to write such a whingy review, I usually have great things to say. I'm hoping we just had a bad experience.

Room Tip: If going for a bungalo, request that it isnt 207 , the one that the staff hang out by, with the wate...

What a great place. We arrived here on the night before Nyepi. Peaceful and relaxing and the pools were great. Room 11 was beautiful with a wonderful view of the valley from the balcony. The staff were always friendly and very accommodating. Nice easy access to central Ubud we even walked to town on a couple of occasions. Just what the doctor ordered. We'll be back.

I stayed here in Feb 14 with a friend. We loved the views across the tropical valley and the infinity pool. The hotel is away from the bustle of Central Ubud yet it is easy to get into town using the shuttle service or by taking a taxi for £2. We ate at the hotel and found the food tasty and good value. other restuarants are within walking distance.

I stayed here with my friend and we booked one bungalow for 4 people for the 2 of us. It looks stunning and the resort has 5 amazing swimming pools. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful with you. They have always a smile on their faces :) we also booked the massages that are given outside in a beautiful terrace surrounded by the nature. I'll definetly come back!!!

Went there with my family, had a really really GREAT TIME!
At first we don't expect that much, Then we are really happy that the service is really pleasant, the room is very decent, the pool is clean, i have to emphasize that this place is very peaceful and relaxing.
They even have 5 pools to enjoy, and the nature view is just outstanding. The location is close to central ubud if you have a car, but they also offer shuttle services.
Also the breakfast is delicious, usually it's rare to find a place with good breakfast, but this is one of em.

My parents are really pleased with this place and so do I.

We stayed in 304 and it was very nice, great views to the jungle and river below.

TV was very small if u like watching and they didn't have any power adapters we had to buy them . Shuttle bus worked well to shops.

Pools were great, clean , great views and I saw umbrellas for others to read so was all good.

Staff very polite and willing to help.

Only thing I would give 5 star is very steep steps and not much handrail which is normally the case in Bali I think...
