“Without a doubt...we'll return!”
Reviewed 8 April 2012

Amori Villa has set the bar for our family holiday. Tropical jungle setting with the sound of water in the background, amazing and personal service, and total peace, we wished we had planned the longer half of our stay here instead of Nusa Dua.

From the moment we ment Denny at the airport, we felt welcome at Amori. The staff took great interest in our children, made sure we were comfortable in our room, and accommodated our needs for meals and outings. For the first two days of our stay, we were one of two families at Amori. It felt like our own private resort with continuous butlered service. No request was turned down.

We were disappointed to leave after our third night and wished we would have been able to extend our stay. It is without a doubt that we will return to Amori!

Room Tip: We stayed in the treehouse villa which easily accommodated our family of five--three children 12 and...

Just returned from our maiden trip to Bali, spent 4 nights at Amori...some insights:

What to expect:
Quaint, peaceful and serene environment. Remarkable staff, loved their flexibility and customer focus. The view from the restaurant is stunning. You should come here if you are looking from a relaxed and chilled out break. Looks like more of an extended family as guests interact with each other over meals / drinks.

What not to expect:
5 star treatment...they are boutique hotel with 5 villas hence environment is intimate and options limited for eg B'fast, products in the washroom, dine in menu etc. The entrance is not glam...it is actually at the end of a village so looks subdued.

The Amori is a tranquil, wonderful, boutique hotel with friendly staff who will pamper yoiu and meet your every need. Our room was a zen like, bright spacious suite overlooking the lush tropical gardens and valley, sunset was amazing. Situated out of Ubud central it was a pleasure to leave the hussle and bussle behind and enter the grounds to enjoy a refreshingly cold Amori sensation drink while overlooking the pool and scenery. Gaining some energy a dip in the infinity pool and spa got us going for the evening. The shuttle service was great and we were pampered being dropped off and picked up when we ate out (for Gourmands - eat at Mozaic - a must). The staff arranged for day trip drivers and our white water rafting experience on the Telaga Waja river ( a must do - heaps of fun). I can't imagine staying anywhere else in Bali, if you want tranquil, peaceful, pampering, Amori is perfect. Some happy snaps of the hotel are at www.pbase.com/mh_photo/amori

Room Tip: all rooms are good, may get a better view of valley from upper story but our room on lower was great...

From the moment you enter Amori, you are greeted with genuine warmth and hospitality. Unfortunately, we only stayed one night - I wish it had been longer. The accommodation is excellent, the infinity pool is stunning and the staff are first class. They obviously love everything about Amori and it transfers to the guests - they simply could not do enough for us. In the afternoon, my husband and I each had a massage. It had to be the best massage we have ever had! Thank you to the lovely Artini. If you want a truly relaxing environment, then this is the place for you. A driver is on hand to take you to and from the centre of town, so being a little out of the way is not an issue - it's more of a plus! Thank you Kadek and Mozei, for taking such good care of us and to all the other members of staff as well. It was just perfect.

My husband & I just returned to Canada after spending time in Indonesia & Malaysia.
Our first 2 nights of our trip was spent at Amori Villa. It was like a dream come true. The service was second to none, the food incredible (breakfast included plus we had dinner there one night) and our room was absolutely wonderful (we were in the Valley View room). We loved the outdoor shower & the balcony where we had our morning coffee. The infinity pool was amazing and we could not get enough of it- we had it basically to ourselves! I even booked a massage pool side- fantastic.
I think it is a perfect distance from the hustle & bustle of Ubud- we managed to walk there as we wanted the exercise- it was great! However, there is a complimentary shuttle offered. We were extremely fortunate to meet the owners Rick & Peta- they have poured their hearts into Amori Villa and it shows.
A great lunch spot in Ubud is Sari Organik set in the rice paddies- lovely food & service.
We will definitely be returning to Amori Villa.

Our stay in Ubud at Amori Villa Hotel was a first time villa experience and it probably couldn't be bettered. With idyllic views, superbly attentive and friendly staff and easy access to the centre of Ubud via the villa shuttle it was a dream. If you want to avoid the tourist gettoes of Kuta and Nusa etc. this is the place to come to. The facilities are excellent and the service is first-rate. The one minor drawback was because the villa is in a rural environment there was some intrusion at night from barking dogs. But a request to the owner for some help in this regard brought immediate improvement and no further difficulty.
Thanks to the owners, Rick and Peta, the manager, Fritz and the family of staff who are at your service. They all made for a memorable stay.

Room Tip: All rooms are enjoyable
