“Quiet, clean, lovely vista”

We really enjoyed our stay here for a few nights. There is a lot of privacy even though there are just a few rooms on the property. Seems like guests respect that of one another. Vista of the rice paddies is relaxing and lovely. Rooms are nice, spacious.

This was a great place you could feel like relaxing in without having to talk to anyone.

Location is great.

Breakfast was mediocre.

We would definitely return.

We were welcomed with a tropical fruit smoothie in a gorgeous reception area. A car and driver was able to take us to town when we wished and a cell numbers was provided for pick up any time we liked. Accept the Good dining recommendations. I liked the outdoor rain shower and especially the scented shampoos and shower gels that they had specially designed from a place In the city. Flowers on the bed, on the night stand, in the bathroom...nice touches, apparently thanks to the owner's thoughtful daughter. We really enjoyed the 2 course breakfast, which were uniquely and specially laid out for us each morning. The afternoon tea was delightful and we were surprised with a home made sweet and savory item each day. If you spend more than three nights there you are able to get a car And driver for 10 hours, but you need to book it a day ahead. Serene an tranquil setting above a rice filled with an endless pool overlooking it. Amazing!

You will not be disappointed staying at Villa Sanbandari, it is small with only 6 rooms which is great no throngs of people like large resorts. We had a private breakfast on our balcony every morning which was a different surprise every day. Our room was the Barong room upstairs had views over the rice paddie fields and infinity pool. The villas are in brand new condition very clean and well maintained we were told they are 3 years old and everything seems to weather fast in the tropics. They provide you with an information sheet and booklet showing local restaurants and walks which we tried and found to be great. You are also provided with a shuttle service around Ubud which we found to be more stretched out than what I thought so it is very handy to get the restaurant you are dining at to call the villa and a friendly staff driver will pick up up and this can be up to 10 30 at night good for sore feet after a day of walking. The staff are very friendly and extremely helpful nothing is a bother.

Truly this is a "secret garden". This was our second stay in Villa Sabandari; we were not disappointed only surprised that it took us 2 years to return to this little paradise. Inside the Villa you have complete privacy, peace, quiet & exceptional care by those serving... step out side, and there is all of Ubud to enjoy! We met people from all over the world, all there for a restful retreat, plus fun & exploration of Bali's Ubud. It is a magical vacation!!!

Room Tip: The rooms all have their own charm... We love the one with outdoor bath tub!

This resort is exactly what I like, small, beautiful and peaceful. The rooms are very comfortable, the pool area is lovely, with plenty of lounges and drinks service, and they provide a driver to drop you off and pick you up in town, so you don't have to deal with the often pesky taxi drivers. If you're looking to party in Bali, don't go here, but if you are looking to relax, read a good book by the pool, and maybe have a few delicious cocktails, then this is definitely where you want to be.

Room Tip: They all seemed good to me ... definitely no bad rooms.

We visited Villa Sabandari for 3 nights as part of our 2 week honeymoon in Bali. As all the other reviews state, you won't certainly be disappointed. You instantly feel relaxed upon entering the Villa, a mix between sleek contemporary and traditional Indonesian design. We thought it to be excellent value for money for the quality of room and personable service that we received. The rooms are well-designed; the outdoor shower is a real treat- especially at dusk. Super comfortable bed with crisp, cotton sheets. The infinity pool overlooks a lush paddy field- stunning. The staff are wonderful- friendly and always helpful. The driver service to and from town is super slick. Thoroughly deserving of its superb ratings.

Room Tip: Request an upstairs room, preferably the one overlooking the Paddy field.

I was in Bali for 4 days and spent 2 nights in Ubud, at V Sabandari, travelled with a friend.

V Sabandari was a very awesome experience, especially for couples. It is one of the very few places that look better irl as compared to the website (no kiddin I have high standards!) Given that there are only 6 villas, u won’t needa worry about crowds and noise. Breakfast by the pool was a tranquil therapeutic experience as u look out into the fields. The staff there are very polite and are speak good English. Drivers are provided so you save on transport (limited to Ubud areas). The pool is beautiful tho a little cold.

Location wise it is close to Ubud centre, prob a 10-15 min walk? However, can always get the hotel driver to drive u to town, we had no issues with the transportation provided as they were prompt and punctual. Wifi around the hotel works perfectly.

Room wise, do ask for a corner room that is next to the fields. I stayed in Kecak room that faces the fields but I believe that those at the corner end would have an amazing view.

However, the rooms have no TV , not even in the common room, which was disappointing and shocking. Other than that, VB gets a 5star rating, it is truly an experience, more than just a hotel stay!

Room Tip: Room wise, do ask for a corner room that is next to the fields. I stayed in Kecak room that faces th...
