“Great place in Ubud!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 11 January 2014

This place is amazing, it is set in the most beautiful traditional Balinese gardens. The food is amazing with a wide range to choose from. The staff are very friendly and we love chatting with them each time we visit. The owner Kadek is lovely, he welcomes you and makes you feel at home when there. This is definitely a place we will visit when staying in Ubud.

“Great atmosphere, tasty food”

Walked by on our way back to our hotel. A bit hidden the lovely setting is the perfect escape from Ubuds noisy main roads. A meditative surrounding with a laid back atmosphere. The staff was really nice the the food excellent. Would highly recommend it.

“Our favorite restaurant in Ubud.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 1 December 2013

In our recent trip to Ubud we ate at Miros twice. Both times the food was great and the ambiance was awesome. We always sit in the Bali hut with lots of cushions. We also ate here in 2011 and it was great and that's why we came back. My sister likes beer which is very cheap. I always have a couple of glasses of local wine which I think was well priced. The service was very friendly and efficient. The WiFi was great and free. We'll be back next year.

“Overpriced and poor service”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 23 November 2013

Based on the reviews here,I decided to eat here on my last night in Ubud, even wore a dress!
I had passed by the steps leading to the restaurant on numerous occasions and was impressed by the loveliness of all the flower petals on the stairs and was eager to try this place
It is indeed a lovely restaurant
We initially sat in the front in the garden but the noise from the street below was quite jarring and not conducive to a relaxed experience so we opted to move in the back
That was a mistake despite the nice setting with music playing.it meant we were out of sight of the wait staff, and like other reviewers have noted, service was less than stellar
We were also the only patrons in the restaurant and that was a weird feeling
We started with lumpia, standard but good
Then had the Caesar salad. That was quite good if a bit unconventional. In addition to the usual suspects it also had bacon(!!!!)and a cooked egg on top.
Then the highly recommended ayam goreng
Wow,what a disappointment. For 80K rupiah I expected more than 4 little pieces of chicken that were like not very meaty chicken drummettes.Very poor value
Wine also overpriced.I know that is the norm for Bali with the high taxes
I inquired about having a glass of Two Islands wine.It was not available by the glass, only the bottle. When I asked about price I was told 475K!!!!!
At the time I was there it was selling at Coco's for 170K. That's quite the markup
So because of poor value for the food and indifferent service I cannot recommend this restaurant

Plus I got sick that evening-not Bali belly but a GI thing
It might be coincidental, but who knows?
Not making me want to go back

“A favorite restaurant in Ubud”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 15 November 2013

My husband and I visit Ubud every couple of years and Miro's is one of our favorite places to dine. Even though it is located right off the loud and jangly main street of Ubud, you can situate yourself away from the street noise in the beautiful tropical outdoor setting and enjoy a delicious Balinese/Indonesian/Asian meal. The service is languid but charming and the presentation of the dishes is top notch. I take photos of my meals every time I go there! There is a background of traditional Balinese gamelan music which sets the tone for an exotic dining experience. You can hear the frogs in the plants nearby, like in most Balinese outdoor restaurants. I recommend the Balinese fare and fresh fruit drinks.
