From the moment I arrived at Kumara I knew I had made the right choice. 1.5 km up hill from the main drag of Ubud, Kumara is set on the side of the mountain among the trees and greenery. It is peaceful and beautiful. Filled with ornate stone pathways and stairways, pools and fountains, with an awesome yoga space facing the jungle. Every need has been thought of and taken care of, ... there is nothing you need to ask for. Even when you go to leave a room, your shoes have been lovingly placed to face the direction that you are to go. The spa treatments are financially accessible and are awesome, with the therapists very tentative and experienced. Food fantastic. Rooms are spacious. Retreat program amazing, every day is a delight. A wonderful introduction to Balinese spirituality. I would definitely return again.

What a gorgeous place! A weeks on Oneworld's Escape the World retreat was a perfect holiday with yoga every day, great teachers, absolutely the best massage I have ever experienced and some nice trips around the local area. Good way to experience the beauty and culture of the Ubud area without having to deal with the tourist overcrowded temple to consumerism that Ubud has sadly become. If you are looking for some relaxation and get away time this is hard to beat. Plus the food was extremely good and healthy too. Highly recommended.

Room Tip: They are probably all good

My third visit to One World Retreats at Kumara Sakti was every bit as amazing as my first! Even better if that's possible! Each time I take part in a yoga retreat at this wonderful location I come home feeling nurtured, relaxed and blessed! From the fantastic healthy food to being pampered daily at the in house spa I felt totally spoiled! Loved the excursions too which showed a different side of Bali that is wonderful! All the staff were amazing- so friendly and helpful and always with a beautiful Balinese smile! Our last day was topped off with a superb lunch at Bridges followed by facials before our flight home! All in all an exceptional experience once again!

Room Tip: All rooms are great! Only difference is the view!

The "Escape the World" retreat at ONEWORLD retreats Kumara is a perfect program for those who wants to take a break and spend some time on reflecting, thinking and planning. Meditation/Yoga exercises, Nutritious meals, discovery/insights of Balinese life, mentality and spiritual world...plus the great healing energy in Kumara are perfect for a gateway. I'm glad to find this oasis in Bali and look forward to returning in December...

I attended the Escape the World retreat ...and finished the week feeling as if I had done exactly that. Escape The World. The retreat is run in such a way that every need is catered to, allowing you to relax entirely and not worry about a thing - your biggest decision being - which spa treatments to have! :)
The food throughout the retreat was superb.
The setting - heavenly.
The people who ran the retreat - absolutely wonderful, kind and inspiring human beings.
The other retreat participants were also wonderful - and it was great to share the week with a diverse but like-minded group of people from all over.
I finished the week feeling like I'd pressed the reset button - and felt refreshed, revitalised and ready to return back to the hustle and bustle of life again. Thank you Iyan,Wayan, Tekok, Claude and the wonderful staff at One World Retreats.

I went on an Escape the World retreat with Iyan, Wayan, Claude and Tekok. Everything about the experience made me feel good - the resort is beautiful and so relaxing with the natural sounds of the river, birds, crickets and frogs in the ravine. The little touches like watercolours in my room, incense sticks and an oil burner, and the fish pond alongside the spa rooms make it a very special place. I felt so cared for and nourished - including by the delicious and healthy food that was served with care and style. I loved learning about the Balinese culture, too - that was an unexpected element that made it also an enriching experience. I wish I could go again next week!
