“Highlight of Ubud”
Reviewed 25 July 2014

We are 2 mature adults from Australia who booked a half day cycling tour in Ubud's countryside through the website. Nyoman runs this family business and was very helpful and flexible in assisting us to design our own itinerary. Due to a change in our travel arrangements we had to cut short our cycling time but Nyoman and his team happily adjusted our itinerary to fit in with us. We were collected from our hotel on time and taken to the family home where we spent 15 minutes learning about the Balinese way of life and the way the family lives and works in harmony together. We felt very honoured to have spent time learning about the Balinese culture which was an unforgettable experience. We began with a visit to coffee plantation which is a must-see, including a drink of cap-poo-chino. Followed by cycling through the magnificent countryside of Ubud. At all times our safety and well being were of highest consideration and at the end of the tour we were given cold face washers to refresh ourselves with. We were delivered back to our hotel by car at the requested time. We highly recommend this experience and encourage all visitors to go beyond the shopping and restaurant area to explore the countryside. Thanks for a terrific experience.

“Nice ride, amazing food!!”
Reviewed 21 July 2014 via mobile

Staff were very professional and friendly. Bikes were maintained on the whole but helmets could do with a bit of a wash (although I may be a bit too fussy). Really nice downhill ride through small villages and rice patties. Breakfast was at a cafe overlooking an amazing valley with volcanoes in the distance (this meal was ok). Lunch however was at the guide's family home and was spectacular. Plenty of food and variety and every dish was delicious! If you don't do the ride for the scenery you could do it only for the food and still leave satisfied. Highly recommend, good value too. Plus free t-shirts :)

“Great bike tour with fantastic lunch”
Reviewed 12 July 2014

Jegeg are very well organised and look after you well.
Our guide spoke great English and told us lots about village life in Bali.
Before the bike ride we stopped for coffee/tea tasting and then had a light breakfast with great views overlooking the region.
The 27 km bike ride was mostly a downhill roll, very easy and away from traffic. The Jegeg crew made sure it was safe at all intersections and a support vehicle was always close by in case of any problems with bikes. The ride was scenic and great to be amongst the villages.
We had a typical Balinese meal in a family environment - plenty of tasty food and a highlight of the tour.
We were staying in Legian and due to the terrible traffic in Bali it ended up being an all day tour - 7am to 5.30pm

“Beautiful sights and sounds in the countryside of Bali”
Reviewed 11 July 2014

Enjoyed ourselves thoroughly on a cycling trip by jegegbalicycling. Through this tour, I have known more about the rituals and traditions of a typical Balinese village. With its beautiful rice paddies and smiling inhabitants, the countryside of Bali has much to offer. The best part of this experience was definitely the hearty and heartwarming lunch prepared by the family behind this business. Highly recommended
