Fantastic place to be if u want to stay away from busy city life. We stayed in villa beji for our whole Bali trip with 2 young kids. The villa sits on a mountainous slope and we can hear the river running! Its always cooling there as nature is jus beside us!
Throughout the trip, mr agung the villa's manager did all the booking of activities for us. Simply tell him what and when you want it, the driver will be there waiting for you. It's really fuss free for us! For the 4 days, we did water rafting, cycling, tour in kuta and quad biking! It's indeed a very physical vacation! More like boot camp!! But our kids enjoyed tremendously! The pool in the villa is the kids all time favourite!
Special thanks to our driver mr kedak, for his safe driving and patience with the kids. The kids and myself were car sick on our way to kuta, he was vy thoughtful and drove very smoothly.
Lastly, thank you to the kitchen chefs and helpers who made the effort to prepare different breakfast for our 5 days stay!!

We came to Villa Awang Awang for the first few days of our honeymoon and could not be happier with our choice. Pereperan villa is a secluded retreat, huge glass windows overlooking the lush forest, your own private no.I pool and eating area, where attentive staff brought our meals.

Despite being slightly oustide Ubud, this posed no problem as each time we wanted to go to town the driver would offer a free shuttle to drop us and pick us up whenever and wherever we chose.

The hotel arranged a great cycling tour for us and made booking internal flights super easy.

All in all, a wonderful stay, highly recommended!

Wondered upon reading the reviews if this place would hold up to our expectations. It is simply amazing. The staff are very accommodating and will do anything for you. Outstanding views and beautiful comfortable accommodation. What more can I say that hasn't already been said. This place is a must visit.

We all felt so lucky to stay in such a beautiful place in such an incredible location! The views were nothing short of spectacular and were everything that we had imagined Ubud's valley views to look like! The staff could not be anymore helpful, we really felt like we were part of the family for our 2 short days. When we arrived and with both the 2 bedroom and the 1 bedroom eco villa booked for our party, they did everything they could to accommodate us, including the upgrade to the huge 5 bedroom villa! Thank you for such an amazing stay!!

We began our 2 week family holiday in Bali with a 7 night stay at Villa Awang Awang. Our flight came in, in the evening so we didn't arrive at the villa until about 10.30pm. This being their first overseas experience, our kids ( 12, 14 and 16 ) were a little teary and disorientated.
When we woke the next morning we could hardly believe our eyes. The views from the villa are nothing short of spectacular, our children were wandering around going Wow, Wow!
The villa itself is very beautiful and spacious with a lovely traditional Bali feel. There are 3 bedrooms upstairs with a beautiful open air living area and 2 bedrooms downstairs with an open air dining area, day bed and access to the amazing private infinity pool perched over the valley. 3 of the bedrooms have private en suites all with baths and 2 with open air showers. The other 2 bedrooms have a large shared en suite with bath and open air shower. 4 out of the 5 bedrooms have spectacular views.
All of the staff were so welcoming, warm and attentive. We felt like a royal family being served breakfast in our villa every morning. Thank you Mr Agung for taking us on the walk through the rice paddies in your village it gave us a deeper understanding of village life and customs.
There are incredible views of mount Agung just a short stroll up the road and Ubud is an easy 5 to 10 minute car or motor bike ride away.

Villa Awang Awang is a rare gem. The owner Anne Schioldann's deep level of care and respect for her staff and her genuine love and support of the village of Melayang is reflected in the level of care and warmth that we received from the staff as her guests.
The only downside to our experience was moving to our next accommodation which felt like falling back to earth by comparison.
Thank you for a wonderful experience, how could we stay anywhere else next time we are in Bali.
Warm Regards,
The Beverley family.

My boyfriend and I recently stayed at the Villa Pererepan, which is a single bungalow located away from the larger villas. It is ideal for a couple that wants to completely escape into the Indonesian forest. To call it "romantic" is an understatement. We were greeted by monkeys in the trees, as well as by the superb and responsive staff. For the price, this is an outstanding value! Just a word of caution though, staying here may not be for those who don't appreciate the occasional "critter" in the open style bathroom. Gekkos of all sizes are common, and we were also visited by a scorpion...we were fascinated!! A truly unique experience.

Awang Awang was exactly what we were looking for in a villa in Bali. It couldn't be any more enchanting. You feel you are in another world. It is so peaceful and beautiful. The village and rice fields are just steps away. The rice field trek was one of our best travel days ever! The staff was so wonderful - helpful in planning our days' activities and there fulfilling our every need. We highly recommend Awang Awang to anyone who wants experience Bali at it's best.
