We stayed three nights in this beautiful homestay. We booked night before and were fortunate enough to get a room in high season (due to cancellation). The rooms are all situated in the back of the family's traditional house and while you set on your veranda you see the garden, with many ponds. Perfect place to enjoy the delicious breakfast! In the night we sometimes had trouble sleeping due to all the nature sounds; birds, frogs and some dogs. It is a 15 min walk to Monkey Forest rd and the road is steep. Be prepared to walk a bit but it is worth it! Ubud centre is really busy and full of traffic jams. We liked the peace and quiet of the homestay and did not mind the walk. Done trips to tirta empul and gunung kawi; very worthwile! Cycling tour also recommended.

In these 5 weeks we stayed in many nice places but we rate the Suastika B&B the highest. We felt like a personal guest of the family from the moment we arrived, very late at night. The place & staff was so homely that we extended our stay here from 4 to 12 days. The rooms are clean, airy, bright and welcoming. Lots of vegetation which brings the aura of peacefulness to the home. Any special requests were promptly handled. The owners, Yani and Made' take personal care of their guest. There are good guesthouses and then there are places one feels sad to leave. This home was home away from home.

I stayed for 5 days, very comfortable, friendly and attentive owners, there are some construction, but not so annoying, to be better it takes time, but I will definitely be back in the coming holidays.

Aji and Ebu and their family at Suastika Lodge took us right in, as if we were their own family! Excellent service, DELICIOUS breakfast, clean rooms, running water and showers, mosquito nets for beds, beautiful property. A 15-minute walk into town and to the morning market, fantastic masseuse a few compounds down, and overall a great location. I would recommend this to everyone looking for a great place to relax in Bali!

Room Tip: We stayed spread out in the rooms with two beds in each, which was perfect to have someone help navi...

We spent 3 nights at Suastika Guest house in their "standard bungalow" in Feb 2013. Location is a 10 min brisk walk (poorly lit road at night with lots of stray dogs) from the Palace. The first thing I noticed was reptile poop on our pillow (rat or gekko maybe?), in a room which was just cleaned. On reporting it to the owner, they changed the pillow covers and helped search if there were any unwanted visitors in the room - dint find any, but that was a bad start to our stay.

The toilet was old and not maintained well.

On the positive side, breakfast was nice and the one occasion when we returned drained from our sunrise trek at mount batur, they were considerate enough to provide us with hot b'fast at 11 am which we did not expect.

Maybe their renovated "Superior" bungalows would have been a better bet - we tried to change bungalows but there were none available.

This is not possible, all bathrooms are new superior rooms are large and clean, I am very sure, the guest never stayed at a guest house Suastika, perhaps Ms. Ella stayed Suastika Tebesaya still located in Ubud area, there are two Suastika in ubud. And I never advise guests if you want to climb a mountain shelf, to depart at 11:00 am.
This has really gone wrong gives revewe.
I hope from tripadvisor team, pay attention to this. thank you.

This is a great place to stay if you want to experience Ubud, but from a bit of a distance from the throngs of tourists in Ubud center. The accomodations are on the home property of a beautifully charming Balinese family. The guest units are nicely nestled in a jungle setting, with lots of birds, trees and a river just down the hill.

Alit and Putu run the place and they couldn't be any nicer. A great breakfast is served every morning, the beds are super comfortable, the rooms are cleaned daily and if you need help with a scooter, laundry, local knowledge or a tour and one need do is ask. The owners will help out with everything.

Ubud center is a quick 10 minute scooter ride away and The Yoga Barn is a 10 minute walk through the neighborhood down the street. There are great places to eat, all within walking distance from the property. It doesn't get much better...
