I love centrally-located hotels that can still be quiet and peaceful, but with nice rooms and bathrooms and genuinely committed staff - this hotel hits all the right buttons. Breakfast is included, and is always high quality, beautifully presented. Balinese people are always nice, but this hotel has trained its workforce well, so they really are a joy to deal with. I really do want to visit Bali again, and yes, this is the hotel I'll choose - why look elsewhere?

Room Tip: I reckon all the rooms are going to be equally good - the grounds are superb and excellently maintai...

We stayed 4 nights in Sri Bungalows and found the rice field and pool view Room 16 to be spacious, clean, cool, comfortable. Breakfasts delicious and service impeccable. The location in the middle of Monkey Forest Rd. was ideal for walking anywhere, and we DID walk. Ubud is not the quiet little sleepy town we remembered, unfortunately, and the thump thump of a nearby bass guitar into the wee hours each night is the only reason I give the Bungalows 4 stars rather than 5. If sleep is a priority, you might consider booking further outside the center of town.

We got a good price on Agoda for this centrally located hotel. Check-in staff was wonderful. But room was moldy. Problems really started when we asked to extend our stay 1 night & inquired if we might be able to get the same rate as we got on Agoda. They refused to show us our Agoda check-in print out--surrendered at check-in, not wanting us to be reminded of what we'd paid. The managers started bad talking my wife right in front of her, as if she couldn't understand what she was saying. When we indicated that we may not stay longer in light of all of this, the staff urged us to clear ou of oir room rapidly, hours before checkout time. All this despite our declared plans to lead tours through Ubud using this hotel! We moved over to Artini 2 cottages--just behind on Jalan Hanoman--& were treated royally there. We do not recommend Sri Bungalows.

We stayed here for 5 with our 2 kids (3 and 1 year old).. Location is perfect for exploring Ubud: in the middle of Monkey Forest Road. Very busy and touristy street, but hotel is very quiet and peacefull. We got a super deluxe room, which is very large and with nice views on the rice fields. The rooms were cleaned very well every day. Restaurant isn't very special, but lots of alternatives in the street. If you like to stay in Ubud, this is a very good option. Would stay here again.

Room Tip: The rooms in the back of the resort have the rice field views.

We stayed at a family room apartment, located at the second floor of the terrace bangalow. max 6 peoples can stay in a room, with 3 double beds, two at the higher floor. The whole apartment is a little bit hot with only a 1hp air-cond, and a ceiling fan. The bangalow is so big but only one air-cond with one ceiling fan is too hot. There is only one shower and toilet so it takes time for 6 peoples to get themselves ready each day (quite inconvenient).
Need to request hair dryer, there is no electrical kettle to make coffee and tea. Only a mini fridge to keep daily bottled water.

Another let down was the hotel did not arrange for another super deluxe room for two at the first level terrace house. We need to walk a distance to share the shower because the queue is long for 6 people to finish.

Overlooking the padi field, the place is clean and quiet. There are plenty of small shops and restaurants nearby, two convenient stores for you to buy bottled water and snacks.

The breakfast is not buffet style, however the servings are generous with fruit salad, coffee/ tea, international / Asian style breakfast.

There was only one channel and as it is in Indonesia we did not turn it on at all.

Room Tip: The wifi speed is only for light browsing.

Very nice bungalows, with an access to a rice paddie and a great swimming pool! The flora is absolutely stunning and the villas are very clean. The location is fantastic- middle of Monkey Forest Road, away enough from the forest not to get harassed by the monkeys in the morning and close enough for a walk if you fancy a first hand encounter!
Bad points include: hot water is very temperamental, lasts for 2min, followed by 5min of cold. Also, the staff stry sweeping the immaculate pavemens at 5:45am and they start form the reception area, so of you are in one of the first villas, that'll be your wake up call:)
The breakfast is really good, with selection of Balinese, American or continental menu.

I stayed here for the first week of October. I booked through Asiarooms.com and very happy with every element of the hotel and their services. The Wifi, breakfast, and hotel fit out is good.
But... Unfortunately two nights there was a lot of noise down the back of the property where the suits are. The noise is live music from a temple. This normally stops at about midnight however on one night it went on until 3am which I was told was most unusual.
The property is as others have written. It is huge. There are over 30 bungalows and I am sure that only four at the back of the property were affected by the noise which occurred only twice in the week.
I would definitely stay here again but request to be around the rice field.
