“Fantastic 😀”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 1 September 2014 via mobile

We stayed at sri bungalows for 4 nights in August/September and it absolutely exceeded our expectations. Our room was one of their new ones which overlooked one of the pools. When we arrived we were taken to our room by a member of staff and were immediately impressed by the beautiful gardens and the peaceful aspect of the resort. It's hard to believe it's in the centre of a busy town. The room was spotlessly clean and serviced daily. The breakfast was very good and plentiful and all staff without exception are delightful courteous and friendly. The location is perfect for the shops bars and restaurants. For anyone visiting ubud this is the place to stay.

We have been on Bali for a couple of months now and we decided to venture to Ubud and see what all the fuss was about. We were expecting something quite different from what we got, but that's a whole different story. However, the Sri Bungalows did not disappoint at all. We were assigned a room at the very end of the complex so it was in a new building, clean and quiet. The only noise we heard was from the water being poured into the pool, which was just as comforting as waves crashing on the shore. Upon arriving, we were led through the older portion of the complex. These buildings have been around for a while and if you are looking for "old" bali then that is the place for you. Then you hit the rice paddy and the units become new and modern. The staff here was friendly and not intrusive at all which was refreshing. The pools (there are two) are beautiful and overall it was just a wonderful holiday. The breakfast was included in our rate and it was marvelous. You order from the menu which is a rare treat. I tried the Crispy Soy Chicken breakfast. Don't know if this a traditional Indonesian breakfast dish or not, but I became addicted almost immediately and had the same dish for each breakfast that we were there. It was just Yummy! Hubby, tried all the "Western" fare and enjoyed them as they were cooked to perfection. We did have dinner in the restaurant a couple of nights and found the dinner was just as good and the desserts were superb. Overall, this hotel is a definite "5". The location is perfect, the staff accommodating and the facility can't be beat. Oh yeah......the wifi was "spotty" and we took our own hotspot since we have learned that Wifi access on the island of Bali is sure to be a problem.

Room Tip: If you want "old" Bali, choose the front of the complex, if you want new and modern, choos...

The stay at Ubud Sri Bungalow has a nice padi field behind. Me and my wife were lucky that we got a room just beside it. The receptionist is courteous and polite.
The Ubud market is only 10mins walk from the hotel.
However, one disappointing thing is that the building is giving loud squeaking sound due to the parapet floor and bad sound proofing. Not much of privacy. If not i will definitely give a 100points for this hotel.

Sri Bungalows is located in Monkey Forest Street, which connects the centre of Ubud with Monkey Forest. It represents Ubud perfectly since it offers a quiet, peaceful place to escape the Ubud-hustle.
Once you arrive at your rice-field-view bungalow, you immediately forget you're in the heart of Ubud. The rooms are very clean, although our shower curtains looked like they should have been replaced some time ago. The reed roofs don't isolate much sound, so you can hear perfectly what your neighbors are saying...

Overall, this is a very good hotel to spend you stay at Ubud. The location is very good, the staff is very friendly and the garden with two pools and rice field looks like a fairytale.

My sister and I spent the last 4 days of our Bali trip in Ubud with our 14 yr old daughters. Sri Bungalows was the perfect location for this time out from the world. Set way back from the busy street, our rooms were a short walk along a path through the rice fields. Each room had 2 verandahs, one overlooking the newly built pool area (and you could see Mount Agung from the 2nd storey), the other overlooking the rice fields. It was lovely to watch the ducks and ducklings meander through the fields each morning, quacking away happily. Close to restaurants, shopping, markets and a short (10 minute) walk to the Yoga Barn this hotel is the perfect location. The rooms were large and clean, with a beautiful big bathroom - my daughter said it was "a room that you dream a hotel in Bali would look like!" The staff were friendly and helpful. Brekkie was included, the pancakes were divine!

Room Tip: ask for a room surrounded by the rice paddies - beautiful

First of all the location is so so good on the busy monkey forest street and you have plenty of restaurants, Spa and massage centers, markets etc on this street. The rooms are very clean and well maintained property. We stayed here for nights and the staff was very friendly. The location makes is very convenient to move around and you could easily find taxis just in front of the hotel to plan your day trips. Ubud shopping market s just 10 mins walk from this place.I would suggest this place for any kind of group, be it family or friends or couples. If at all we plan one more trip to Bali, then this is the place where we would book for sure.

Room Tip: The rooms are good at both ground and first floors
