My family stayed in Lagoon Villa with small spa pool and big pool (length is double oylmpic size) shared with only 14 villas. We love the villa. Quiet, relax and peaceful. Modern design. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Service is excellent. Althought there no children activity, but my son enjoyed in the big pool everyday. We had BBQ seafood at a reasonable price. Breakfast provided in the restaurant or you can request to deliver to your room. Massage & facial area in the front of the villa. Free shuttle bus to town 4 times a day. No fitness centre but there is a jucuzzi & steam room.

Worth the value. Will come back again.

Highly recommended.

Room Tip: Honeymooner should go for Lagoon Villas or Spa Villa.

We stayed at the lagoon villa for 4 nights for our honeymoon.
We arrived at the hotel at midnight & quite tired but with the smile of the front staff made us very comfortable.
The food at the restaurant was good and they organized special theme dinner like Baliese dance & seafood BBQ dinner which was very enjoyable and seafood BBQ was great!

The villa organizes some activity and we booked for 'trekking' one afternoon. The guest activity staff 'Oka' was excellent! We impressed his knowledge about history, culture, etc. Not only his knowledge but he was so helpful about our needs and request. We were very happy of his service.
We also enjoyed some spa treatment at the villa. The therapists were very professional.
All other staff at the villa were very friendly and reliable.
We would definitely like to go back!
Thank you!

I was completely satisified from check in to check out.

The room
Free Wi-Fi; Medium sized flat screen TV with a number of channels; outdoor shower; tasteful modern decore; huge vaulted ceiling in the bedroom which sports a king sized bed; a private pool and hot tub in your own private little garden oasis; 1 1/2 bathrooms; private balcony overlooking rice paddies ... what more do you need?

The Grounds
Bravo! I cant describe it other than that its like a finished project where everything comes together in harmony, the fauna, the walkways; the colors; all sights and sounds converge to one wonderful place that says "be at peace here".

The food
The included breakfast was adequate. A little something for everyone. I didnt try the supper menu but I believe it was here where I had some spring rolls that were yummy ++++.

The people
Well they all just go out of their way to please, We asked for them to arrnage for us to go up Mount Batur to see the sunrise and they promptly arranged for a driver and tour guide and even prepared us a breakfast for our 2am departure ... all at a lot less than what I was originally quoted by another tour group.

This is the right place for a romantic retreat,.

My husband and I stayed at the lagoon pool villa for 3 nights and we loved everything they had to offer. The sun-decks and the private pool that leads into the larger lagoon was my favorite part about my stay with Furama. We spent a lot of time relaxing, swimming to the pool bar, and lingering around our sun-deck. The decor is more modern but it does leave a sense of the traditional Balinese style one would want. The wireless internet was spotty but maybe it is better to not be so connected to the internet while on vacation. The food here was ok but nothing that left an impression. The view from the restaurant made the dining experience better but you can tell that most people eat outside of Furama. The one lasting impression I will never forget is how friendly everyone is. Every staff member we encountered was always smiling and greeted us as we walked by the rice padi fields. We would definitely recommend to all our friends and family visiting Ubud.

Superb, we stayed in a wonderful private villa and loved our 3 nights there. We chose FuramaXclusive above the main Furama but they also looked really good. As someone on tripadvisor says it basically depends if you want a more traditional balinese style private walled villa versus a contemporary decorated one.

Spent a day in our private pool with the occasional swim out into the large lagoon pool that joins it. That was probably our favourite day in Ubud. The hotels turn down service at night is excellent, they make it look really homely before you retire for the evening and the breakfast being delivered in works well - its lovely eating on the patio lounge area, but make sure you go to the main restaurant one morning as that is really nice too.

On the downside, it was a bit too expensive once we got there. We ate in town in the evenings using the free shuttle, but a Large bingtang beer (with tax and service added) was nearly 100,000 rupees at the pool bar, which was the most costly we faced in whole time we were in Bali. Plus it was warm and they had no ice to cool it down with (but offered to get some delivered when we commented, which is to their credit). No wonder you don't see anyone drinking at the pool bar - am sure if they priced it better they'd get a lot more custom. After that we bought our own from Ubud and used the room's fridge.

That is just minor however, we loved our time at FuramaXclusive - we wish we had booked another night.

Me and my partner stayed here for 2 nights. As soon as we got here we were impressed. Staff were pleasant and welcoming. The whole lobby looked amazing. The buggy took us to our villa which was pretty much the last one At the end of the fields. It looked very beautiful. But one thing we noticed on both nights we stayed there were the amount of creepy crawlies and lizard droppings we found. I think if the cleanliness was maintained then I'd give this place 5/5. Also the villa was not cleaned daily which we expected which was a shame ESP because of the amount of bugs in the villa. We also found our pool was dirty so er didn't get a chance to use it ( the main pool looked beautiful and clean when we walked past) and also our jacuzzi was very filthy. Room service was good and over all staff were helpful. I'd say if you are in Ubud then expect noises through out the night, this area is a lot different to seminyak or kuta. Breakfast here was top notch. Over all a good experience and I would recommend to others.

Our holiday in Furama Villas & Spa and FuramaXclusive Villas & Spa exceeded our expectations.
To begin, our pick-up was patient & punctual. He had arrived early & had to wait an hour as our flight was delayed. In spite of which he greeted us warmly, enthusiastically and respectfully …as if we were his home guests. Engaging in conversation, he shared information helpful to first time Furama guests : shuttle times, pick up points, facilities, favourite food spots, tourist spots etc.
When he heard that we had missed a meal because of the flight delay, he offered to pull us over for a quick meal. As we soon discovered, such is the level of initiative and perceptiveness of the staff. English-speaking guests will appreciate the ease with which all staff speak the language.
On arriving at the Furama Villas & Spa, we discovered that just paces away was FuramaXclusive.
The two resorts share a check-in counter, dining area, lounge and spa.
We were welcomed with a refreshing lemon grass drink, which we enjoyed so much we asked the maître d how it was prepared. The gentleman that he was was happy to share his recipe.
The view from the lounge, located just below the check-in counter, is that of the Furama Villas & Spa pool set amidst a quaint Balinese landscape rich in fragrant frangipani trees and lush tropical plants. Both resorts seem to take pride in maintaining their sprawling grounds and this shows in the picturesque photos they make. Look out for the padi fields : one skirting the property, directly overlooking the FuramaXclusive Villas & Spa, and the other separating the two resorts as one enters the grounds. Beautiful!
Speaking of photos, all the photos depicted on both Furama sites, are bona fide. Rest assured, what you is what you will enjoy.
Our first night was spent in vernacular styled Furama Villas & Spa.
Guests seeking a traditional Balinese experience, complete with :
- a private pool flanked by classic Balinese sculptures artistically highlighted with flecks of moss
- a pergola furnished with two inviting day beds
- rustic Balinese furniture
- an outdoor shower
- a generous bath tub
- a sturdy four poster bed made more romantic by its gauzy canopy and plush mattress
will be delighted the moment they step onto their villa grounds.
We were treated to a set dinner [part of our package] at the resort’s dining area and found the food unpretentious, satisfactory and seemingly home-cooked. Not a bad thing.
That after-dinner walk led us to discover what makes the FuramaXclusive Villas & Spa exclusive.
The sight of contemporary villas against a more polished and manicured green backdrop and stylish doors accentuated by modern lighting brought a spark to our urban acquainted eyes.
In sharp contrast to its traditional sister, FuramaXclusive spoke a different architectural language.
Keen to experience FuramaXclusive, the staff swiftly arranged that our remaining nights were spent here.
The villas are every bit as lavish, comfortable and well laid out as depicted in the www.
The stylish villa doors did much to set the tone for what lay beyond. A slab-paved pathway featuring lush greens welcomed us to the great-for-reading patio. A sofa, coffee table TV as well as a ceiling fan were enough to keep us contented on days we stayed in. Wooden blinds managed the sunlight easily.
Separating the patio from the chic bedroom was the full height glass divider. Kudos FuramaXclusive on the quality mattress, functional yet tasteful furniture, twin washbasins presented on a sizable countertop, happy-couple bath tub, petite pool that leads directly to the 70m pool and intuitive villa design. Clearly one of the design criteria was sensitivity to privacy.
How we looked forward to returning to our villa after exploring the streets of Ubud. Buggies with ever-ready staff would zip us back to our villa as we gazed lazily at the idyllic scenery.
Part of our package included a free massage at the FuramaXclusive spa. One of the best ever!
If you have read this far, then this piece has done some justice to Furama Villas & Spa and FuramaXclusive Villas & Spa. Here two distinctive worlds of Bali exist harmoniously in one picture-perfect undulating terrain.
Hope you will enjoy yourselves as much as we did.

Room Tip: Reconnect with nature in every villa.
