Words fail to describe how impressed I am with Puri Sunia. I have just returned home after taking a group on retreat to Ubud.
The rooms are spacious and clean, the food absolutely delicious and the spa serene with great massages. The attention to detail is everywhere, from the complimentary water at airport pick up, free yoga, rice paddy and village walks to the perfectly placed frangipani flowers. All of this is nothing though without the wonderful services you will encounter at this boutique hotel. Every single one of the staff will go out of their way to ensure your stay is wonderful and they are most genuine. I so look forward to returning again next year. Thank you Dewa and staff.

This is the best hotel I have ever stayed at so far. I am in the hotel industry so I get to stay and fancy hotels like Ritz, W Hotels, All Marriott’s brands and Four Seasons. There is something to be said a about Puri Sunia Resort, the customer service is the best I have experienced, they take it to another level to make your stay feel like home. You can truly sense the employees working there really care about customer satisfaction and enjoy what they do.

There is a couple of employee that really stood out the General Manager, which we realized he was the GM of the hotel on our last day of the trip he was so discrete about his title and position. GM’s in the U.S.A need to sign up for customer service training with this guy, he keeps his staff well engaged with guests and the employee's truly care about the guests best interests.

Another employee that really made out Trip was Eka. He spoke English really well and really went above and beyond helping us out with everything. When you stay here ask for Eka, he gives solid advice on all the local things to do, his is also very knowledgeable about the culture and background of indonesia and Bali.

This place well deserves 6 stars if I could give it, highly recommend this hotel. I usually don’t write reviews but this place earned it.

Room Tip: we stayed in room 903 a villa, Stunning with a private pool.

My Girlfriend and I stayed for four nights between 9th - 13th September and absolutely loved it. Firstly the service was incredible from all members of staff, nothing was too much trouble, I cannot describe how impressed we were with them. Everyone seems to want to help and are very genuine, which cannot be said for everywhere we have travelled. The hotel is a little out of the center of Ubud, which we found was a benefit as it was very relaxing, the hotel run a shuttle bus service into the centre every hour for guest FOC. The food by international standards is cheap and is too a very high standard, however there are several cheaper alternatives within Ubud to suit every budget. The room we had was a standard room I think and was great, very spacious and a lovely bathroom, the whole place was well kept and the pool is good. All in all we had a lovely time staying here.

thanks
x

This is such a nice litte Hotel just a bit of the hassle of Ubud. There is the right amount of detail in really everything, from the shuttle service into Ubud, to the freshly made pastry in the morning, to the ylang ylang flowers everywhere, to the bag with sarongs when you go out to visit a temple. The staff is extremely helpful and attentive and the restaurant definitely deserves a praise! I've not been to Ubud before but I would definitely come back here just to stay at this hotel again for a couple of days!

My husband and I took our tenth anniversary celebration to Bali and started off with Ubud. Inspite of already expecting a relaxing resort, far-removed from the urban chaos we flew from, Puri Sunia in all its unassuming naturalness instantly put us to ease and floored us with an honest attention to detail.
We were offered a delicious welcome drink and and a thoroughly relaxing welcome foot-spa. I could have awarded five stars just for that!
The staff was exceptionally warm and eager to help. We are strict vegetarians, but they managed to wow us with their meals creatively beyond the printed menu.
The resort rooms were straight from “ A Midsummer Night’s Dream”; layers of cool, soft, white canopy curtains hung around the large bed and a whole bunch of fluffy pillows for those perfectly cocooning mornings when we wanted to sleep in.
Even though there was a large Plasma TV right across from the bed, not for a minute were we tempted to turn it on because the place had such gorgeous sights to soak up. In fact I didn’t even pick up the new book I had bought from the airport until we checked out.
There were thoughtful white jasmines placed in unexpected little places, delighting us each time we saw them. The bathrooms were spacious, cool and luxuriously equipped with supplies.
The trip by foot to the rice fields was quite a little adventure- our guide, very considerately had bag-packed bottles of drinking water for all of us during the trek.
The swimming pool was a cozy water body almost hidden in the lush green and the stone lily troughs that dotted the property. It was perfect to laze in, order a nice cocktail or read a book by.
The restaurant, the yoga room and the spa were all beautifully suited to the vibe of the resort- serene, lush in the aromas and the sights of nature.
All in all, we were transported to the other side of the rainbow ☺.

We were there for 3 days and wanted something off the beaten track. It's a quaint little hotel with a 5 star service. We woke up to beautiful padi fields and strolled along the small streets just to explore the area.

We arrived on Wednesday, 28 August 2013 it was part of our bali tour, ubud was highly recommended as a cultural city to visit and shop (it is), but the hotel was poor, the first room was awful and not fit for human use, the amount of damp was a joke how can any hotel class its self as 4 star and offer rooms like this,

Positive - as soon as we complained someone come and inspected the room and upgraded us to a deluxe room (this was better than the first but still smelt of damp),

we was lucky we only stayed here one night, I would not of stayed here more than one night, in the end we got back into the room at 12 midnight and woke up at 7 am because the room was that bad. luckily we only stayed one night, At 2 Million IDR ($180 dollars) it is a rip off I don't mind paying value for money but this is not value for money.
