Arrive in pleasant courtyard, Typical Bali architecture, a number of villa's surround the small pool. The rooms are not large, poorly lit but they have a pleasant adequately furnished verandah for the rare times you get to sit and chill. As soon as you arrive turn the fridge up a bit if you want to chill the beer, check the hot water works and check also that you have WiFi reception.
The restaurant ( No Pork !) is clean safe but dull, breakfast is very western, coffee not too bad. Everyone in Bali smiles, except the Grumpy waitress.
About a 25 minute stroll to Ubud, allow 40 minute to Monkey forest via Bisma Jl, last bit of track a bit bumpy.
Reception very helpful with bookings, taxi etc.
Very quiet, but then every thing is quiet in Ubud after dark, not a bad thing.

Room Tip: Best rooms 1 or 8, verandah right on the pool

Beautiful and small boutique hotel, they are a couple of colonial villas around a small swimming pool. It is really quiet and near from Ubud centre.
Maybe is too small the distance among buildings but it is a cute place.
The toilet products as gel etc. are lovely
They have a couple of Bikes that you can take for free but unfortunately one was broken.

We could park inside the hotel.

On the ground floor they have a couple of beutiful apartments.

The villas needed more light, although i get it that the hotel really goes for the romantic mood. The shower was disappointing as the water is really not warm enough, and i felt really chilly. The complimentary shampoo and conditioner were also out when we checked in and we have to ask for it to be refilled.

I stayed on Superior room, second floor for 2 nigth.
Room size was okay, although I felt it need more light as the lamp was a bit a dark.
Bed was also okay.

However the room was not sound proof.
I could hear my neighbor chit chat ( as if they talked on my room ), open the door, took shower and flush the toilet, etc
If your ear is sensitive, you will be disturbed by their voice.

Wi fi was also not working during my stay. The hotel reception informed us that there was problem with its router.

During my stay, t here were some rains in Ubud, hence everyday I put my towel on the terrace, but it did not get dry.

The hotel staff helped us to rent motorcycle with helmet.
The rent was cheap, IDR 70k per day.

This was our third stay at The Munari Resort and Spa. We love this place. It's a small resort, the staff is very courteous and honest. We forgot a piece of jewelry in the room in our second visit and they did everything to return it to us. We will always remember what they did for us and how they treated us through the entire process. Very clean and comfortable rooms. Very easy to find drivers if you want to tour the city and surrounding areas. There are spas and restaurants close by. Finally got to try some local food in Bali.

Room Tip: This is a small resort, most of the rooms are the same. There are some rooms specifically for famili...

The Munari Resort & Spa in Ubud, Bali, Indonesia was an excellent choice for myself and my daughter. It is a small resort hotel featuring 8 spacious rooms, most of them overlooking an infinity pool. The rooms are clean and comfortable with complimentary toiletries, bottled water, coffee and tea as well as a minibar (items at minimal extra cost).

The resort features a restaurant with room service, which we used twice and were pleasantly surprised at the menu choices and standard of meals served.

We much enjoyed leisurely complimentary breakfasts in a beautiful garden setting and the exceptionally friendly staff, who really went out of their way to ensure that we were comfortable.

Although the resort is located outside of central Ubud - it takes approx. 25 minutes to walk to the Ubud Palace, or 8 minutes by taxi - we always looked forward to the walk as the route is literally lined with art galleries, some exquisite apparel stores, restaurants, craft shops and numerous walkways into the beautiful rice fields. On every walk we discovered something we hadn't seen before. It was always a pleasure to return to the serenity of Munari in the evenings.

We have no hesitation to recommend Munari Resort and look forward to another stay in the near future.
